The Redcat Racing Everest Gen7 1/10 Scale RTR Scale Rock Crawler is going to shake things up the crawler world. With a host of included features that are normally reserved for aftermarket upgrades, the Gen7 is potentially the most capable out of the box scaler on the market. This is thanks to a 3mm ladder frame chassis that was designed and tuned by BPC Custom Chassis and Two Guys Trail Gear. By combining this custom chassis with a steel electronics bridge and a low slung forward mounted battery tray, the Gen7 provides a tune-able platform that has the high performance bells and whistles you would normally have to pay extra for.

Combine this awesome chassis with a Hobbywing Brushed ESC, Licensed Interco Super Swamper tires and real beadlock wheels and the Gen7 sets itself apart from the rest with its features and performance. The aggressively styled 4 door SUV body is available in silver or orange, and the included black, white, red and wood grain die cut decals will allow you to detail the truck the way you want. Plus, the included 2000mAh NiMH battery, charger and 2CE 2.4GHz radio system are included as well to make the Gen7 and unmatched value in the scale crawler market.

Redcat Everest Gen7 1/10 4WD RTR Scale Rock Crawler
Great beginner rig with a great price point. Performs better than expected. Tires perform better than other newly released rtr’s. Only complaint is the body is kinda brittle. One decent tumble on its top and split. Wasn’t planning on keeping the body for long anyways. For $200 it’s a great starting point. Keep in mind you can always change to different axles of other manufacturers for more options. Plenty of metal support available from redcat without breaking the bank. What you do is limited only to your imagination, tools, and engineering ability. Also compare instruction illustrations to your trucks assembly. In a photo it shows top link mounts on chassis differ from assembly.

Redcat Everest Gen7 1/10 4WD RTR Scale Rock Crawler
So I’ve had the truck for a about 2 weeks now. Really dig the rig performs a lot better than I really thought it would. You have to do your normal little tweaks once you get it but, what RC out there do you leave alone when you get it? The only real big issue I have it 1 out of the 2 weeks owning it the ESC fried out on me. I go to plug the battery in like I have been and the servo started to twitch and shortly after that the ESC started to smoke. I’ve been waiting on redcat to get back to me but I’ll take it as a lose and just get the Hobby Wing 1080 quick run ESC and a Holmes Hobby CrawlMaster 550 12t. Either way great buy for the price.

Redcat Everest Gen7 1/10 4WD RTR Scale Rock Crawler
Bought a red and silver one for my step son and I. People were complaining about the servo, but him and I have went mudding with them quite a bit and haven’t had an issue with anything. Only upgrade id suggest is a better battery. It comes with a 2000, even just a 2200 is only $20. Longer charge and slightly, barely more power, but for an extra 30 minutes life is worth it. Shipping was free 2 day, I also seen stories about fedex destroying the box, but we had no issues. Amazing rtr rig in our opinions!

Redcat Everest Gen7 1/10 4WD RTR Scale Rock Crawler
l took my new car for its 1st test run yesterday. lt goes fantastically well, lt's a good crawler as l have a track around the house with jumps and ramps and it handled everything with ease. lt's not a racer like some of my other cars but a good crawler that l walk behind so l'm less likely to crash . Which is what l'm after now . When it's on the drive where l can see it all the time and it's not disappearing around corners , lt can move quite quickly .
l'm going to take it into a paddock today where there is ruts , rises and falls , real cross country area no tracks yet.
l'll let U know how it goes ..

These FIVE Stars are not for the actual product but for the AWESOME service from AMain Hobbies! Wholly cow! Better than Amazon! Order confirmation, shipment notifications, delivery notice, everything to make you feel secure! Now, on the product itself, well it's what you would expect for a $229.00 crawler and exactly what I wanted! I already have a TRX-4 Sport (my son's) and a TRX-4 so I wanted something I could upgrade and take to the mud without fear. Have already changed that horrible steering servo and of course have put the links where they are supposed to go. I'm enjoying the purchase and will continue to have fun. Hopefully I do not have any of the problems others have reported on YouTube.

Redcat Everest Gen7 1/10 4WD RTR Scale Rock Crawler
Right out of the box had some work to do. All of the bolts holding front end were lose and had to adjust the arm on servo would turn right not so much left. Also suspension linkages needed to be relocated so it worked properly. The supplied 2000mah gets a run time of about 20 mins. And charges in 1.5hrs not bad will upgrade to Lipo asap . it straight up out performs my carisma sca-1e f150.this my wife's crawler and both were ordered at same time...i wish I would have saved $150 and got myself a gen7. For the money ITS A STEAL

Redcat Everest Gen7 1/10 4WD RTR Scale Rock Crawler
I love my gen 7 the only thing is I bought a charger and the extra plugs I think it was called squid adapter. It doesn't have a 4mm banana connector on it. I thought I asked if it did in an email. But I'm gonna get a deans to banana connector. I am very pleased with the service from amain. Any parts I order will be from them. It didn't take long to get it. I for sure will recommend them. Already have some friends wanting to get into the hobby and amain is who I will send them to. And if u have anything free u would like to send me please do and I will show it off

Redcat Everest Gen7 1/10 4WD RTR Scale Rock Crawler
what can i say really. my friend bought me this as a gift to get me into the hobby. i have a few issues and growing pains with the truck but over all the thing is pritty amazing for someone new. i will say there is a revised version of the truck that isnt documented anywhere on redcat's site that comes with the new high clearance steering system. im going to tell you now to BUY THE CVD's for the pro version. they fit the truck perfectly and solve the single problem with the truck. that one issue being that becuse the truck comes with the high clearance steer kit it pops its dogbones alot and it broke the chub for me but that was easily replaced. other then that the thing is insanely fun to play with. i have made 2 modifications myself. rotating the front tires so there backwards for griping rocks and trimming the front bumper helps it climb significently. i have no other truck to compair this to but this thing is so much fun and i would recommend it to anyone

Redcat Everest Gen7 1/10 4WD RTR Scale Rock Crawler
This truck is really good value, but if you're planning on running 3S lipo or driving it up and through anything that requires all the torque that the motor can produce, look at getting the metal gears - you might be wanting them if the pin shears out of the plastic output gear. The truck is still great, I just got the metal parts after-the-fact, and it's nice that all the parts are still available and cheap. Totally waterproof, tolerates mud and snow 100%. It goes quick enough to jump but not crazy gasser fast, so it's good easy fun even if you're using a pair of hams to work the transmitter. :
