RealFlight 9 Flight Simulator w/Spektrum Transmitter
I received RealFlight 9 about four or five days after ordering. That is very good considering shipping was to an Alaskan address. It took a week or more and many emails to support to get it running.
I was installing RealFlight 9 on an older Mac desktop with a Windows emulator. First disk loaded and the RealFlight 9 logo appeared but when loading second disk, computer would not install and numerous error messages popped up. After trying several times to reload, I concluded I needed a new computer. With one contact with RealFlight 9 support, I found that if your computer runs
RealFlight 8, it will run RealFlight 9. As I had and could run RealFlight 8, I thought I should be able to run RealFlight 9. To make the story short, after several emails, and since I had already purchased RealFlight 9, RealFlight support sent me a link to download the software. Took a while to download but it did and it installed and it works. So, if you purchase RealFlight 9 and can not load the discs, contact RealFlight support and they can send you the link to download the software and you can be up and running. As I have only been on a couple of times I do not notice too much difference from
RealFlight 8 except the new controller has some nice features and it is way easier to join multiplayer play.

RealFlight 9 Flight Simulator w/Spektrum Transmitter
I've had the Realflight 9 simulator for about a week now and have spent about 4-5 hours working with it. I haven't played with all the bells and whistles yet, but the basic system works well and seems very realistic. There are a lot of different aircraft available to fly, so you can find something comparable to what you want. My main goal was to get some stick time on an aircraft similar to what I already own, so my only complaint would be that there aren't a lot of older planes available. In particular I have a Great Planes Citabria 85" electric ARF that I am currently building. There is a Super Decathlon that is very similar but doesn't have flaps. All the planes I currently own are not in the database, but if you want to fly something that is current there a lot of the newer ones there. Again I haven't played with the advanced features yet, so I may be able to add or modify to get my stable of planes flyable in the simulator. All-in-all I'm very happy with the product. I have advanced my skills and worked on correcting a few bad habits by practicing on the simulator. Now we'll see if it follows over to the flying field when I can get out there.

Hi there, I just got the simulator and I love it. I need to go deeper into some of the features but for now the sim couldn't have come at a better time; know what I mean...
There's just one little thing that needs to be mentioned in the Installation Guide.
Guys like me don't do a lot of installing programs and stuff. With that said, they should mention that you need to turn off any antivirus software or the program won't install.. Guys like me don't remember that li'll tid bit...
Other than that; stay safe everyone....

This is the most awesome flight simulator that I have ever used I would definitely recommend this for someone trying to learn how to fly a remote control airplane or helicopter

RealFlight 9 has helped me tremendously as a newbie of R/C flying and has greatly improved my skills controlling the aircraft. Although its a small investment to buy the program, this has paid off with the fewer mishaps with my actual flying model.
