This is pack of heat shield tape from Racers Edge. This tape works great for protecting your body from the heat of a exhaust pipe. Wrap it around your fuel tubing to prevent the fuel from boiling or having holes burned into your new fuel tubing. Having troubles starting a hot engine, try placing some tape around your fuel tank.

Use it to shield the gas tank on the left side and back so that the engine and exhaust pipe heat do not warm the fuel up and make you lose power. Also good for keeping your nicely painted body off hot engine/pipe parts.
Using a new fuel tank will make sure it sticks good.

Racers Edge 2000 Degree Heat Shield Tape
I really like this stuff for on my buggy & truggy fuel tanks next to the exhaust. Scuff it with a scotch brite pad then clean the surface with simple green or a degreaser before applying and it won't fall off.

Not sure if defected or what but the sticky side was not very sticky to place over anything. It fell off within 10 mins of driving. Put some glue behind it and it worked great. To thick to put on any sharp corners.
