This is the Protoform 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Vintage Racing Body in Clear Lexan material. Arguably the most iconic of the first generation Camaros, PROTOform is excited to add the 1969 edition of the Z28 to their Vintage Trans-Am racing body. Winner of the 1969 Trans-Am series championship with Mark Donohue at the wheel, the 1969 Chevrolet® Camaro™ Z28 tore up both the streets and tracks with pure American V8 power. Protoform 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Vintage Racing Body (Clear)
***PLEASE READ ALL***

(3) stars for flawed product, but Amain deserves (5) STARS. Bought this ‘69 Camaro body and received one that was badly flawed w/ evidence of overheating that resulted in deep creases across both rear quarters, melted & deformed rear corners and rear end out of square. One call and a few pics sent to Amain and had a replacement body shipped out (expedited) by mid day. No hassle and the whole exchange done in 10 min. Things happen and that’s OK. Amain made it right w/out hassle. I’m very pleased w/ Amain’s overall service and now especially, their customer service and will continue to shop here. Looking forward to receiving the replacement body for my VTA racer. Thanks Amain.

Update: June 03 2022

(1) star.
Received replacement body and its actually worse than the first. The same drip/run flaws exist in the same places, but this body is crushed on the lower left rear corner and starting to tear. Sections of the body are ultra thin as well and there are depressions and even small, but sharp dings & dents in the ridges of the fenders. The dents and scratches may have come after molding, but these bodies are littered w/ manufacturing defects. I am not happy to or comfortable w/ publicly criticizing a company or product but this is easily one of the worst RC products I’ve ever purchased in 40+ years in the hobby. Its certainly the worst lexan bodies I've ever had. They will cover up the electronics and resemble a (damaged) car, but are not fit to paint. I STILL APPLAUD Amain for doing what they could and am grateful for their effort. As for Protoform, these are my first products from them and will be my last. These bodies are beyond “Scratch & Dent” and should have never left the factory. I hope Protoform can overcome these issues and get their QC efforts in line.
