This is the ProTek R/C Universal Radio Case Insert, intended for use with the ProTek R/C Universal Radio Case and Spektrum DX6, DX7, DX9 and DX18 transmitters. This high density foam insert will allow you to adapt the Universal Radio Case to fit the Spektrum DX6, DX7, DX9 or DX18 radio, keeping your valuable transmitter safely cushioned within the case. But, these foams feature more than just a cut out for your transmitter! Additional pockets have been added so you can keep spare servos, receivers and other accessories tucked away safe and secure, within easy reach when you need them.

Perfect fit for my DX5i too. I took a shot on it knowing the DX5 is almost the same size as the radios listed.
has 3 layers of foam which is great to protect the radio from the case as well when you close it up on the top and bottom.

Perfect fit for my DX6 & my case.
Has a couple of other pieces already pre-cut that can be removed for battery storage or some props or what ever else you may want to carry along with your transmitter.

I'm disappointed that my DX9 & DX6 fit so loosely in the precut foam. I plan to alter the foam piece that comes out of the tx pocket to 'snug' the fit. Hopefully, since my bandsaw won't 'open' tall enough to make the necessary cut, the electric carving knife I plan to use will do an acceptable job. In other respects, the insert is well designed, with a solid foam bottom layer that fits under the cut-out layer. The foam itself seems to be spot-on in firmness for good support.

Doesn't fit for shit in my case. Universal fit my ass. I had to cut an inch of the top and 2 inches from the sides.i guess it only fits the protek case and none of the spektrum cases.
