The ProTek R/C TLR 22X-4 Grade 5 Titanium Screw Kit is an 82 piece upgrade that includes the screws needed to replace the stock hardware in the upper half of the chassis. These titanium screws are CNC machined and thread rolled to near-exact tolerances from high-quality 6AL-4V (Grade 5) titanium alloy material and polished to a brilliant finish.
Why Titanium?
Titanium is strong, dense and super lightweight. In fact, Titanium has one of the highest strength-to-density ratios of all the metal compounds, making it the best advantage for dropping weight without sacrificing strength or durability.
6AL-4V Grade 5
6AL-4V, or more commonly known as Grade 5, is a Titanium alloy mixture composed of 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. It is significantly stronger than pure titanium but more expensive to manufacture. Grade 5 is the most widely used titanium alloy for its excellent combination of low weight, high strength and corrosion resistance.
To Maximize the life of ProTek R/C Titanium Screws:

- Never use with a worn Allen hex tip.
- Never use in areas where Loctite is to be used.
- Never use in high stress areas, such as shock mounts or chassis braces.

Very disappointed in this set. First there is no list of what each screw is used for, you may say refer to the manual, I did. And with that there are extras of some sizes that are not used and not enough of others given in this kit. I made do with some of the extras for the hardware that was missing for somethings. The screws themselves look and feel nice didn’t have any issues installing them. Kit needs a list of what hardware is included and what Protek intended each screw for on the buggy.

ProTek RC TLR 22X-4 "Grade 5" Titanium Screw Kit (82) (Upper)
Got these screws for my 22x-4. Was excited to be able to get these in and drop some weight. I've had these for about 6 months and most have been stripped out and I've replaced back with the stock steel screws. Definitely disappointed with the quality of these. I definitely question the grade 5 as I've seen other grade 5 screws never wear out. All precautions were used when I replaced the steel screws. All holes were pre-tapped as instructed, made sure drived was seated.
Won't be buying these again.
