This is the ProTek R/C Titanium Turnbuckle Set for use with the Team Losi Racing 22 3.0 2WD 1/10 Scale Buggy, as well as previous TLR 22 series 2WD buggy models.

These titanium turnbuckles are CNC machined and thread rolled to near-exact tolerances from high-quality 6AL-4V (Grade 5) titanium alloy material and polished to a brilliant finish. Each turnbuckle is marked with thread directions for easy identification, with standard sized threads on each end for the intended model.

Why Titanium?
Titanium is strong, dense and super lightweight. In fact, Titanium has one of the highest strength-to-density ratios of all the metal compounds, making it the best advantage for dropping weight without sacrificing strength or durability.

6AL-4V Grade 5
6AL-4V, or more commonly known as Grade 5, is a Titanium alloy mixture composed of 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. It is significantly stronger than pure titanium but more expensive to manufacture. Grade 5 is the most widely used titanium alloy for its excellent combination of low weight, high strength and corrosion resistance.

  • CNC Machined Construction
  • High-Quality 6AL-4V Titanium Alloy
  • Reduces Overall Vehicle Weight
  • High Strength-to-Weight Ratio
  • Uses 4mm Turnbuckle Wrench (not included)

  • (2) 3.5x50mm Titanium Turnbuckle
  • (4) 3.5x55mm Titanium Turnbuckle
Note: To ease the installation of new ball cups, add a small dab of ProTek R/C "Premier White" Grease (PTK-1412) to the threads of the turnbuckle.

ProTek RC TLR 22 3.0/2.0 Titanium Turnbuckle Kit
Fitted to my 22 2.0, had to wind all of the camber links ALL the way in to get the correct lengths, to the point where you can't see the thread to tell which way the turnbuckle should turn to shorten/lengthen. The steering link leaves around 2-3 threads with zero toe. They JUST fit, with maybe half a turn spare before bottoming out against the inner end of the thread. But the most important matter of weight-saving? It's 9.5 grams, combined for all six, compared to the standard units (21.5g vs 12g).)
