The ProTek R/C Team Associated B6.1 and B6.1D Titanium Screw Kit is a 95 piece upgrade that includes the screws needed to replace the stock screws in all areas except the two motor screws and 2mm diameter screws.

Want to take performance to a higher level? Get closer to perfect with ProTek R/C Titanium Screws. Titanium delivers one of the highest strength-to-density ratios of any alloy. It is strong, much lighter than steel and is one of the best ways to quickly shed weight from your car. Plus, if you use ballast weights, titanium screws offer the advantage of eliminating chassis weight before having to equalize weight distribution.

ProTek R/C Titanium Screw Kits have been designed in-house by our leading technical experts and professional R/C drivers. Whereas some other brands use aluminum or low-grade Titanium, ProTek has searched for and found the best Titanium material for R/C applications. These kits are made to stringent standards to deliver the most comprehensive kit on the market. Don’t be fooled by cheaper, inferior kits that only include half of the screws you need.

To Maximize the life of ProTek R/C Titanium Screws:

  • Never use with a worn Allen hex tip.
  • Never use in areas where Loctite is to be used.
  • Never use in high stress areas, such as shock mounts or chassis braces.

NOTE: Refer to your instruction manual for correct screw placement.

Out of this kit, I had 3 where the screw heads broke off during initial installation and 4 more where the heads broke off during a race making the shock tower collapse. Will not buy again. It appears the hex broaching is too deep making it a weak point on the screw.

Biggest waste of money ever, bought these screws with my factory lite and can honestly say that it’s the worst quality RC product I’ve ever purchased in over 15 years in this hobby. The screws are so soft that they started denting the first time I screwed them in. I’ve had them for a few months now and all the screws in high stress parts of the chassis bent in the first few weeks. So all those are black associated kit screws until I get a Lunsford kit...DO NOT waste your money on these garbage screws I PROMISE you will regret it.

It’s true...... first time out with new car and new tires had to take it real slow....
Wing mount. Thought the wing was crooked. NOPE. THREE out of four screws broken heads.
Super sad cause I’m a protek brand lover till the end. At least they broke so clean it was easy to back them out
With needle nose pliers.

ProTek RC Team Associated B6.1 & B6.1D Titanium Screw Kit (95)
Terrible quality. Several of the screws broke on the rear shock tower (no crashes). And several more the heads just snapped off during installation. Seems like a machining process error causing the heads to snap off, or poor quality titanium. Would not recommend to anyone.

UPDATE!!!!!!!
PROTEK/AMAIN CUSTOMER SUPPORT HAS BEEN AWESOME. THEY SENT OUT ANOTHER SET OF TITANIUM SCREWS. I AM GOING TO GIVE THESE ANOTHER TRY, THINKING I MAY GOTTEN A BAD SET.

This ball head screws are really fragile. The screws that I stalled on the shock tower broke after a few jumps in the circuit. And the flat head screws gets easily loose even if you used carefully to install.

I pieced together my own kit for a B6.1 from loose screw packages in order to have spares, but I have had the same experience as the other reviewer regarding the heads breaking off under light stress. One while installing and now 9 total on the car while running. I’ve been replacing them with Mugen loose screw packages and hoping for the best.
