This is the ProTek R/C Titanium Turnbuckle Set for use with the Team Associated RC8B3 and RC8B3E 1/8 Scale Buggies.

These titanium turnbuckles are CNC machined and thread rolled to near-exact tolerances from high-quality 6AL-4V (Grade 5) titanium alloy material and polished to a brilliant finish. Each turnbuckle is marked with thread directions for easy identification, with standard sized threads on each end for the intended model.

Why Titanium?
Titanium is strong, dense and super lightweight. In fact, Titanium has one of the highest strength-to-density ratios of all the metal compounds, making it the best advantage for dropping weight without sacrificing strength or durability.

6AL-4V Grade 5
6AL-4V, or more commonly known as Grade 5, is a Titanium alloy mixture composed of 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. It is significantly stronger than pure titanium but more expensive to manufacture. Grade 5 is the most widely used titanium alloy for its excellent combination of low weight, high strength and corrosion resistance.

Features:

  • CNC Machined Construction
  • High-Quality 6AL-4V Titanium Alloy
  • Reduces Overall Vehicle Weight
  • High Strength-to-Weight Ratio

Includes:

  • (1) 3x32mm Titanium Turnbuckle
  • (2) 4x50mm Titanium Turnbuckle
  • (2) 5x38mm Titanium Turnbuckle
Note: To ease the installation of new ball cups, add a small dab of ProTek R/C "Premier White" Grease (PTK-1412) to the threads of the turnbuckle.

ProTek RC RC8B3.2/RC8B3.2E Titanium Turnbuckle Kit
For those of you like me who think titanium is better, this kit is good but not perfect. It includes a turnbuckle for the steering but not the correct size. This kit has a 3mm turnbuckle for the steering instead of the correct 4mm. Lunsford sells a 4X33 (LNS1433) that works fine. In Lunsford`s kit there is no steering turnbuckle.
