ProTek RC Associated B74.2 & B74.2D Carbon Fiber Side Guards
The pros: They look super trick. They did save 15.6g on my car. The cons: The fit and finish could be a little better. I had to grind at the rear stop of my battery mount to make it fit (74.2), even with the provided piece for the hook that the band latches into. And it still needs some adjustment, because the battery still doesn't fit very well. The nuts loosen up, be sure to loctite them. It would have been nice if nylocs were provided. Overall, not a bad upgrade. I think that if you're looking to get every last possible gram you can get out of your car, go for it. But as for the fit and finish and the effort to install them vs. the cost, I feel like there could be more meaningful weight savings upgrades that could be made in place of these.

ProTek RC Associated B74.2 & B74.2D Carbon Fiber Side Guards
Honestly, this is probably the worst purchase I've made in the hobby, and the worst product I've purchased from protek. Terrible.
The item comes with a bunch of hardware that is far different from the stock setup. Not sure what the washers are for. No explanation given in the listing or anywhere online. Amain featured these in a weight savings video but doesn't explain how to install.
What appears to be the round cylinder for the battery strap hook to sit into isn't the right external radius so the stock rear battery plate can't wrap around it properly.
The fit is not correct. All along where the carbon meets the chassis, there is a ~0.5-1mm gap.
It could be user error but there isn't a single bit of documentation online about these so I have no way to know.
Waste of $50.

Added these along with titanium hardware and the weight savings was pretty significant. They also very rigid, look good and installed without issue. Recommended.
