This ProTek R/C Clamping Servo horn is designed for Team Associated 1/10 scale off-road vehicles and is machined from a solid block of aluminum alloy and anodized blue color. The horn has been machined to the exact specifications and dimensions of the plastic Team Associated ASC9180 servo horn, but provides the precision, rigidity and durability required for the latest generation of high-performance R/C vehicles. The horn also weighs a mere two grams while providing the insurance of the clamping design to ensure the horn remains in place even if the retainer screw comes loose.

Features:

  • Clamping design
  • Fits Team Associated 1/10 off-road vehicles
  • Weighs only 2 grams
  • 23T JR/Airtronics/KO Spline Output Shaft
  • Also available in Black (PTK-7820-BK)

Note: Due to manufacturer tolerances, this servo horn may be a tight fit with certain servo brands.

ProTek RC Aluminum Team Associated 1/10 Clamping Servo Horn (Blue) (23T)
I bought this for a Spektrum S6240 servo. According to Spektrum's website the S6240 has a 23 tooth output spline. However, when I went to install this on the servo it did not want to go on no matter how much prying and prodding I did to try to split the gap open a bit more and use the center screw to suck it down onto the output shaft.

I don't know if Spektrum has a funny OD versus the "standard" 23T OD or what. I'm sure the problem lies between the keyboard and chair (it's me), but I had to go back to the stock plastic servo arm and even that didn't fit as nicely as I've experienced in the past with other servos and arms.

The arm itself is great. Very stout construction. I've used them on other buggies with other servos in the past with great success. I would buy a ProTek servo arm again, but maybe not the 23T one. . .
