NOTE: While these batteries are LiHV cells, they can still be charged the same as a standard LiPo with a standard LiPo charger. The overall voltage and capacity will be slightly less than when charged to LiHV specs, but the performance will be better than a standard LiPo thanks to the flat discharge curve, reduced weight and low internal resistance. When charged to 8.4V, these packs will still offer a noticeable advantage when compared to a standard 7.4V LiPo pack.

NOTE: When using high energy Li-Polymer Batteries, please do not over-discharge or over-charge batteries as this will result in over heated batteries. Discharging capacity can't exceed 80% of the max capacity of the pack after full charging to ensure a good cycle performance. It is recommended to fully charge a brand new battery before using and only discharge the battery 50% for first 5 cycles. Always monitor race time and/or set a low voltage warning on ESC (End voltage cannot be lower than 3.2v per cell). Do not use the battery that has too low a voltage.
Do not expose batteries to sunshine or store/charge batteries at the temperature above 35°C or in a closed car. The high temperature environment could cause damage to the pack or make it burst. If the battery becomes hot while fast charging, high current discharging or racing, do not charge the battery until it has cooled completely. Wait about 20 mins, then inspect prior to recharging.

Bought 2 of these batteries , at 4 months one swelled up beyond safe use. Same week the other lost cell 1 . Had others at local track have same problems . Would not recommend , for the price and lack of a longer warranty .
These are great as they weigh about the same as a normal 5600 pack and I assume if you charge to regular no HV limits they should last a long time. I have 4 older versions (not the "plus") that I have been using and 2 are like new 2 others had the internal post area break causing one to run on 3 cells and was ruined quickly another one broke as well but was fixable. I added a heavy copper wire along the solder sides as both had a gap in the same area.
Hopefully these have much better manufacturing than the last ones, so far so good but a bit pricey
This battery is amazing. I do not want to go back to conventional lipos after using this. I can verify and confirm that the voltage stays more linear under load compared to regular lipos. On a dual 2s setup on my mugen mbx7t eco, my maxxamps batteries trip the voltage sensor on my 7px at 15volts while under load, the alarm is programmed to go off at 12.8. However the protek lihv battery doesn't trip the alarm until it reaches around 13.8 under load on my newer mt410 build. That alarm is also set to go off at 12.8. This will be my go to battery in the future. I just hope it lasts as long as my maxxamp batteries.
Only one outting on this battery but i can run my tekno eb48.4 for 20 plus min on a full charge!!!! The bullet connectors are super tight. Needs a eazy way to pull the bullets conectors out. The battery seems to be well made and hope it last longer then the 90 day warranty. Like horizon hobby “reaction” batteries, they have a full year warranty. I’d like to see protek have a bit better warranty.
