The ProTek R/C 4S 120C Low IR Graphene + HV LCG 4300mAh LiPo Battery is a great battery option for any racer looking for a lightweight, 4S battery. Weighing 338 grams, the LCG 4S is over 200 grams lighter than a standard 4S pack, providing improved power to weight ratio and a lower overall CG that makes it perfect for shorter qualifying races and "1/8 scale light" e-buggy classes.

When compared to standard LiPo and LiHV, Silicon Graphene cells deliver improved efficiency, lower operating temperatures, lower internal resistance, better run time, increased cycle life and increased voltage - but Graphene + 120C LiPo batteries take that a step further with more power and lower internal resistance when compared to the previous ProTek LiHV Graphene packs!

Lab testing has shown that ProTek R/C Silicon Graphene packs have double the cycle life when charged at 1C rates, and can be charged at higher amp rates, with less risk of damage to the pack. More importantly, the discharge curve is flatter, meaning the cells maintain higher voltage throughout the discharge cycle with no significant drop off. Additionally, when compared to conventional LiPo batteries Silicon Graphene batteries are lighter, providing a higher capacity per gram ratio. With 7.6V nominal voltage, 120C discharge ratings, incredibly high charge rates and ten different models to choose from, ProTek R/C 120C Graphene + packs are perfect for racers and bashers that demand the absolute best.

Features:

  • Lighter than a hardcase 4S LiPo pack of equal capacity
  • Improved power to weight ratio and a lower overall CG
  • More runtime, with a dramatic increase in voltage and punch
  • Silicone Graphene can handle more abuse and deliver more current than a standard LiPo battery
  • Improved efficiency, lower operating temperatures, and lower internal resistance!
  • Increased run time, increased cycle life and increased voltage!
  • More capacity gram for gram when compared to standard LiPo cells
  • Perfect for stock class racers looking to shave grams
  • 10C max charge rates - 1C charge rate recommended for longest life
  • 7.6V nominal voltage
  • 5mm bullets and 5mm to 4mm bullet adapters included
NOTE: While these batteries are LiHV cells, they can still be charged the same as a standard LiPo with a standard LiPo charger. The overall voltage and capacity will be slightly less than when charged to LiHV specs, but the performance will be better than a standard LiPo thanks to the flat discharge curve, reduced weight and low internal resistance. When charged to 8.4V, these packs will still offer a noticeable advantage when compared to a standard 7.4V LiPo pack.

LITHIUM POLYMER SAFETY INFORMATION

IMPORTANT:
1) DO NOT leave the battery in your model when charging
2) DO NOT leave unattended when charging
3) ALWAYS balance charge the battery
4) ALWAYS use a LiPo charging bag
5) YOU MUST use a Li-Poly specific charger to charge the pack (NiMH or NiCD only chargers WILL NOT WORK!)
6) YOU MUST not over discharge the Li-Poly battery pack
7) READ & UNDERSTAND the instructions carefully before operating this battery

NOTE: When using high energy Li-Polymer Batteries, please do not over-discharge or over-charge batteries as this will result in over heated batteries. Discharging capacity can't exceed 80% of the max capacity of the pack after full charging to ensure a good cycle performance. It is recommended to fully charge a brand new battery before using and only discharge the battery 50% for first 5 cycles. Always monitor race time and/or set a low voltage warning on ESC (End voltage cannot be lower than 3.2v per cell). Do not use the battery that has too low a voltage.

Do not expose batteries to sunshine or store/charge batteries at the temperature above 35°C or in a closed car. The high temperature environment could cause damage to the pack or make it burst. If the battery becomes hot while fast charging, high current discharging or racing, do not charge the battery until it has cooled completely. Wait about 20 mins, then inspect prior to recharging.

ProTek RC 4S 120C Low IR Si-Graphene + HV LCG LiPo Battery (15.2V/4300mAh)
After 5-6 uses they swoll up. Thought it may be a fluke but a second set did the same thing on a different charger

ProTek RC 4S 120C Low IR Si-Graphene + HV LCG LiPo Battery (15.2V/4300mAh)
0 stars.. Trash from the get go! Called Amain about the cells not being balanced and was told to cycle the battery before being replaced. Did so and no improvement. Storage charged and it balanced. Then went to charge it and two cells are way off balance. Battery is garbage. Save your money and buy ProMatch batteries. ProTek is trash and a waste of $100+ dollars. Thanks Amain!!

ProTek RC 4S 120C Low IR Si-Graphene + HV LCG LiPo Battery (15.2V/4300mAh)
OHMILAAWRD! This thing is the same size as a typical 2S LCG batter. This thing is a beast! Using it on my Losi 8ight-E and if you installed your battery closer to the rear of the vehicle and plan to use the JConcepts Silencer body, the typical 4S battery will not allow the body to be fitted properly, even if you cut openings for the battery. So my only option was to either swap bodies or move the battery closer to the front but that's assuming there's enough clearance IF the battery is mounted up front.

Anyways, I would definitely recommend this battery for anyone that needs a 4S and have space constraints. This has some awesome punch in it as well but that could be coming from a lowly 50C...can't really say the high-voltage had anything to do with performance but the 120C really packed a punch. If I'm not careful, it'll pull the front-end up!

ProTek RC 4S 120C Low IR Si-Graphene + HV LCG LiPo Battery (15.2V/4300mAh)
This battery is amazing. I'm currently using this on an Emaxx 3906 with a Dynamite Fuze 130 amp esc and 3000kv F540 motor. Yes. 4s. Let me just say, it's amazing. The run time feels like I have enough time to get bored of it. I fully charged this battery with my 610ez charger ;) on LiHv and at half to full throttle the whole time I ran for 1 hour and still had plenty of juice. Get this battery. However, take note that it does charge to 4.35v per cell. Not 4.2v like a regular lipo. Way more power.

ProTek RC 4S 120C Low IR Si-Graphene + HV LCG LiPo Battery (15.2V/4300mAh)
Used over 20 of the similar PTK-5101-19 model ProTek for custom built drones. Nothing beats them! With the 2020 model now at 193 Wh/kg, they will still be the best battery option for the near future!

ProTek RC 4S 120C Low IR Si-Graphene + HV LCG LiPo Battery (15.2V/4300mAh)
AFTER 4 WEEKS A CELL IS COMPLETELY DRAINED. I CHARGED THE BATTERY IN STORAGE MODE WHEN NOT USING IT FOR A LONG PERIOD. EVEN WITH THAT CARE THE BATTERY IS DEAD NOW. OTHERWISE... Such a great battery! LIHV technology can give your car a significant boost of power that will increase the speed of your vehicle significantly. I´m running a MUGEN MBX8T (1/8 scale truggy) with an electric TEKIN system (2250 KV). The battery is lightweight and compact so it contributes to the handling and speed as the car has less total weight. You can run this battery for 13 minutes with a car with the characteristics I´ve described.

ProTek RC 4S 120C Low IR Si-Graphene + HV LCG LiPo Battery (15.2V/4300mAh)
First time run: after only a minute or two of what seemed like normal operation, the car stopped responding except for steering. Analysis showed one cell (3rd of four) completely dead (0v.) The other 3 cells were severely depleted (possibly because the defective cell was defective at the start, even though it charged normally?) Either way, I found this very unusual for a new battery. I bought two of these batteries and the second one seems to be OK. I'm willing to believe this was an unusual occurence, but only if it doesn't happen again. So right now success is only 50%!

ProTek RC 4S 120C Low IR Si-Graphene + HV LCG LiPo Battery (15.2V/4300mAh)
I can't give a review of this product because as of 7/9/2020 I have not received the battery I ordered on 6/20/2020 very unhappy. After a few years of being a happy custo0mer this has ended doing any more business.
