This is the ProTek R/C "Supreme Power" 2S - 7.4V, 4700mAh, 100C Lithium Polymer hard case "Shorty" battery pack, with 5mm Bullet Connectors. With increased capacities and cell chemistry that delivers improved reliability, ProTek R/C 100C LiPo batteries are guaranteed to satisfy. Whether you are a racer looking for maximum power, or a basher looking for extended run time, these 100C packs provide the power and run time that enthusiasts demand. Plus they are backed by ProTek R/C, so you can buy with confidence knowing that we have your back.

This battery pack uses 5mm bullet connectors for an ultra low resistance connection. In fact the battery tubes can be accessed from either side of the case, allowing you to position the battery terminals in the direction that best suits your application! This "Shorty" style battery pack is a great option to reduce weight and tune weight distribution. This battery is designed to be used in 2wd electric off-road cars and trucks, such as the Team Losi Racing 22 family of vehicles, but can also be used with other 1/10 vehicle types. This battery is ROAR/EFRA approved and built using a hard plastic case that is required for use at sanctioned tracks and events. It is small enough to fit into all touring cars and off-road vehicles. A set of 5mm bullet connectors and a 2mm bullet connector are included.

Note: ProTek R/C offers a 5mm to 4mm reducer so you can continue to use your 4mm ESC and charge leads (PTK-5005).

Unlike most other Lithium Polymer batteries, these batteries can be charged at up to 2 times the rated current, or 2C! If your charger is capable, you can charge these batteries at 9.4A!

IMPORTANT:
1) DO NOT leave the battery in your model when charging
2) DO NOT leave unattended when charging
3) ALWAYS balance charge the battery
4) ALWAYS use a LiPo charging bag
5) YOU MUST use a Li-Poly specific charger to charge the pack (NiMH or NiCD only chargers WILL NOT WORK!)
6) YOU MUST not over discharge the Li-Poly battery pack
7) READ & UNDERSTAND the instructions carefully before operating this battery

NOTE: When using high energy Li-Polymer Batteries, please do not over-discharge or over-charge batteries as this will result in over heated batteries. Discharging capacity can't exceed 80% of the max capacity of the pack after full charging to ensure a good cycle performance. It is recommended to fully charge a brand new battery before using and only discharge the battery 50% for first 5 cycles. Always monitor race time and/or set a low voltage warning on ESC (End voltage cannot be lower than 3.2v per cell). Do not use the battery that has too low a voltage.

Do not expose batteries to sunshine or store/charge batteries at the temperature above 35°C or in a closed car. The high temperature environment could cause damage to the pack or make it burst. If the battery becomes hot while fast charging, high current discharging or racing, do not charge the battery until it has cooled completely. Wait about 20 mins, then inspect prior to recharging.

ProTek RC 2S "Supreme Power" Li-Poly 100C Hard Case Shorty Battery Pack w/5mm (7.4V/4700mAh)
I started using these batteries, the first series from a previous manufacturer, then this manufacturer. In the five months I have had every one of the three I had originally purchased replaced for swelling, and starting to look dangerous to me. Now the replacements, a month old are starting to exhibit the same tendencies, plus two of the three will not balance. I could think it's me and my charger (ECO 65) but I have 2 year old Venom batteries in the hard red plastic case which continue to take a licking and keep on ticking. I purchased 4 Venom shorties to use in my competition cars, plus the two full size Venoms, and the Pro_Tek will be relegated to practice till they die. In thier defense A Main Hobbies has stood behind thier product, as they do all my purchases, but I'm getting tired of the hassle of getting RMA, paying to ship them back, etc. I could not in good faith recommend these batteries to anyone.

ProTek RC 2S "Supreme Power" Li-Poly 100C Hard Case Shorty Battery Pack w/5mm (7.4V/4700mAh)
Bought two of these and they both puffed by the second race day. Broke them in properly and never used for more than 10 minutes between charges after broke in. I had two of the previous 4300 mAh versions and they had puffed as well, one so bad I didn't feel comfortable using it. I had to buy two of these instead of just one for replacement because of the 5mm terminals. I had much better luck with Reedy batteries and will be using them exclusively from now on.

ProTek RC 2S "Supreme Power" Li-Poly 100C Hard Case Shorty Battery Pack w/5mm (7.4V/4700mAh)
This new shorty pack is awesome! Tons of power and is good for over ten minutes in a mod 2 wheel buggy. It's also very consistent throughout the run. I've been running mine for over six months and it hasn't even come close to swelling. Just make sure you don't over discharge the battery by running it for too long. If you do that very often, any battery will swell no matter what brand.

ProTek RC 2S "Supreme Power" Li-Poly 100C Hard Case Shorty Battery Pack w/5mm (7.4V/4700mAh)
Excellent update from the previous versions which were already good as well. I prefer the 5mm connectors as they don't get warm which is nice considering how much power we're asking of these little packs. Easily fits into cars and balances well each and every time. I've got well over 100 cycles on my first pack and it's running as strong as it was new. Also note, the internal resistance is nice and low, good for those of you who race stock.

ProTek RC 2S "Supreme Power" Li-Poly 100C Hard Case Shorty Battery Pack w/5mm (7.4V/4700mAh)
Pack with plenty of power to run. Isn't to heavy, nor is it to lite, it's just right! Use this in my stock buggy, and and competitive with it week in and week out!

ProTek RC 2S "Supreme Power" Li-Poly 100C Hard Case Shorty Battery Pack w/5mm (7.4V/4700mAh)
I have had nothing but great experiences with Protek batteries. I have three of these shorties and two of their big brothers, the 7k mah 100c full size sticks. I just put the full size sticks up for sale in the consignment booth at my local track, but only because I am standardizing on these shorties for both short course truck and buggy. I am strictly a racer, so the weight savings of going to the shorty pack are very attractive, however I still want enough run time to put in decent practice runs. These batteries fill both requirements perfectly. I don't charge at crazy amperage, I am a 6 amp balance charge every time type of guy and I always store my batteries in a proper state of charge. I have never had so much as a hiccup with these packs, no puffing, no false peaks, no early sign off, nothing. The only thing that should be noted is that these are 5mm bullets, not the more industry standard 4mm. So you will want to make sure to purchase or build the appropriate harnesses with the correct sized hardware. I use a deans connector mid harness between my ESC and battery rather than terminating straight to the battery bullet, so that in a pinch I can use or borrow a battery with 4mm bullet connectors with little fuss. These batteries look great, and perform even better.

ProTek RC 2S "Supreme Power" Li-Poly 100C Hard Case Shorty Battery Pack w/5mm (7.4V/4700mAh)
Picked up three of these when they first came out and were on sale. So far have not had an issue with them (except the one that I left in the buggy for a month,..plugged in,..and it swelled *dooh*). Great punch, and consistency through a 6 minute race. No problems with swelling (not user inflicted :P ) or balancing. I had a buddy charge it at 30A and it warmed up as normal, and wasn't hot enough to cause concern (do this at your own risk!!!). As long as you care for them properly they should last a while.
