Pro-Line Wide Wedge Carpet 2.2" 2WD Front Buggy Tires bring the popular Wedge tread pattern to a tire carcass that fits on standard 2wd Front Wheels! That means no more cutting wheels or needing special narrow 2wd front wheels. The extra tire width allows for an additional row of tread which the Pro-Line Engineers used to make the tire directional, meaning the tire can be mounted for either more aggressive steering or less! The Wide Wedge has a true drop-in bead that does not require cutting or hand fitting and is super low-profile just like you would expect out of your carpet tires. The Hook shaped pins that the Wedge design is known for provide all the steering you can handle without being grabby. Pro-Line’s Z compounds provide unparalleled grip on a variety of surfaces used indoor (carpet, wood, cardboard, plastic, etc.) while still being long lasting.

Features:

  • Wide Wedge Fits on Standard 2wd Front Wheels!
  • Directional Tread – Decide Between More or Less Steering
  • Drop-in Bead Does Not Require Cutting or Hand Fitting
  • Super Low Profile Does Not Require Foam
  • Combine with Pin Point Rears or Prism Rears for an unbeatable combination
  • Made in the USA, since 1982

The Z4 compound is very soft. It is more like Schumacher Silver compound than Yellow. So it is not meaningful to compare this tire in Z4 with a Schumacher tire in Yellow. Try the Z3 compound for something like the feel of Yellow.

Great looking tire, but they do not grip at high speed entry. They seem to hook up nice once you slow down, but who wants to go slow? I swapped to the Shumacher cut staggers and the difference is night and day. It might be time to go back to the drawing board on this tire. I ran them for 1000 laps on indoor astro and they never got any better.

I normally run Schumacher cut stagger low profile yellows on indoor turf. I decided to try something new. Turned out to be a waste of money.

I purchased these in the Z4 compound. They look like they should work well. They feel like they should work well. In reality, they don't turn at all. I've tried a couple of times, thinking that maybe they need to be worn in some, but it's not getting any better. Was practicing tonight with some Schumacher fronts that were very near bald. Swapped the these and they just made a bunch of noise and pushed.

They may work somewhere, but not anywhere I drive.
