Pro-Line Traxxas UDR 1967 Ford F-100 Race Pre-Cut Truck Body (Clear)
So I bought my UDR back in December 2019 when my LHS offered it to me with the free light kit plus another near $100.00 discount, and while I typically dont buy RTR's, every once in a while I do If I really want to try out a rig that is only available in RTR form. Normally when I do get one all the electronics get changed out before I even run it the first time, and I also try to upgrade every part that is either available or is known to be an issue, which with most RTR's there are quite a few. Anyway, not surprisingly, after just 2 or 3 medium speed tumbles in a dirt parking lot that should have only left a few light scratches at most to the factory Rigid scheme body, all 4 bottom mounting locations plus one of the rears tore through the mounting screws. After less than 10 battery packs and not too many high speed crashes, the stock body was unuseable due to all the mounting holes tearing out and major sections with giant cracks. Basically it was far too thin in key areas. Anyway, I saw Proline came out with a UDR body and it was even pre cut, which is what I really like about all of my TLR kits/bodies. So $70.00 later when I took this body out of the bag, I immediately noticed that it looked like Ray Charles precut the body with a commercial weed whacker after drinking a fifth of vodka. Seriously, if TLR can supply precut bodies that are basically perfect, then Proline, the biggest body manufacturer out there should be able to make one that doesnt look like the dude getting paid to save me time by trimming the body decided scissors were a waste of time and he could do better by chewing on it with the 4.5 teeth left after living off Mountain Dew and Meth for 20 years. Plus the paint mask was peeling off around every edge. Basically I had to clean up all the window and grill openings and do major sanding on the wheelwells and bumpers etc. Not sure if I just got a really bad one or if they are all like that, but overall I was not impressed with the quality at all, mainly the job they did with the "precut"... All said and done once I painted it up it did fit OK and looked nice, I just had to spend far more time working on it prior to masking/painting. I havent run the truck enough to see how durable it will be, but it does seem to be thicker around the bottom mounting holes as well as around the roofline where the stock body failed so quickly. We shall see...

Very well made and looks good. It could be a bit thicker but it’s alright.
