Pro-Line Pro-Spec Scaler Shocks feature CNC machined Aluminum Shock Caps, Collars, Bodies, Bottom Caps and Hard Chrome Coated Steel Shock Shafts all made to exacting tolerances. X-Ring seals are used as the main shaft seal for smooth, low friction action and to prevent leaks. Just like Pro-Line’s other Pro-Spec Shocks, the Scaler variant will stand out from the rest with bright Chrome and Blue anodizing. From the top mounting hole to the bottom mounting hole these Pro-Spec Scaler Shocks measure out to be 90mm at full extended length and collapse down to about 64mm and they include extra 5mm longer Shock Ends to increase the shock length! These short shocks are perfect for super scale rigs! Just like Pro-Line’s extremely popular PowerStroke Shocks, the Pro-Spec Scaler Shocks come mostly pre-built (just add oil) and are designed to fit on many popular crawler vehicles.

  • Smoothest Scale Shocks Pro-Line has ever made

Pro-Line Pro-Spec Scaler Shocks (90mm-95mm)
Purchased 2 pairs here at Amain 8 months ago. They leaked from the beginning. They come assembled and dry. I put in 30w AE oil and after sitting in my shock stand for a few hours they started leaking right down the shaft. All four of them. They were properly assembled and the cartridge cap was on properly. I called Proline and they sent me rebuild parts. But they still leaked. 8 months later with much used and wasted shock oil and requiring way to much constant messy maintenance. I tried using AE Green slime and Amain's Protek Premier Blue O-ring Lube etc. and they still leaked.
I called Proline again because they no longer sell the Single x-seal used in each shock. They told me to send them the shocks and that they would rebuild them. I sent them back to Proline.
They said they filled them with 50w oil and that they don't leak. I mentioned prior that I use much lighter shock oil in my scx10.2(22.5w-30w) and that 50w is no good for my application or even most scale rigs. I asked them to send me new x-seals. They found some loose ones and sent them all back to me. The shocks were never rebuilt or even filled. My shocks were sent back with my original wire ties attached to them and they were clean and dry as sent to Proline. They lied and wasted 30 days of my time on these shocks. I am disappointed and will never buy Proline shocks again. I do not recommend these shocks to anyone else. They are the worst of the worst, especially at this high price. They are made in Taiwan and the Proline rep stated that they do not make them here in the USA and that QC is not controllable as a result. At present, they appear to be discontinuing the rebuild parts and the x-seals are no longer available for these expensive leaking shocks. My new x-seals leak anyway. Beautiful scale looks, but these shocks are very bad. Do Not Buy! $100.00 wasted. Proline has no clue when it comes to Scale Crawling Rigs. They only are good for bodies wheels and tires. That is it. The above represents my 30+ years experience building shocks and numerous kits along the way and this is my opinion only.

Pro-Line Pro-Spec Scaler Shocks (90mm-95mm)
After about an hour of use two of the shocks were leaking badly and the other two were seeping. Pro-Line is sending me rebuild kits but I had to submit proof of purchase and pictures to get them. Pro-Line recommends 30 - 50 wt oil. I used Associated 42.5. The shocks look good and perform well but I can't use them if they are leaking. We'll see what happens once I rebuild the even though I shouldn't have to.

Pro-Line Pro-Spec Scaler Shocks (90mm-95mm)
These shocks are a waste of money. They leak badly even with green slime. For the price you would think they would be decent quality. I have Proline Powerstroke shocks on 2 other rigs. 1 out of 8 shocks leak, much better seal with these but next time I will stay away from Proline shocks.

Pro-Line Pro-Spec Scaler Shocks (90mm-95mm)
Shocks look great on the vehicle. One of them had a stiff spot and I had to file the piston to make it smooth. After that it worked ok. Will leave another review after crawling competition.
