Pro-Line Pro-Spec Scaler Shocks feature CNC machined Aluminum Shock Caps, Collars, Bodies, Bottom Caps and Hard Chrome Coated Steel Shock Shafts all made to exacting tolerances. X-Ring seals are used as the main shaft seal for smooth, low friction action and to prevent leaks. Just like Pro-Line’s other Pro-Spec Shocks, the Scaler variant will stand out from the rest with bright Chrome and Blue anodizing. From the top mounting hole to the bottom mounting hole these Pro-Spec Scaler Shocks measure out to be 105mm at full extended length and collapse down to about 72mm and they include extra 5mm longer Shock Ends to increase the shock length! Pro-Line Pro-Spec Scaler Shocks (105mm-110mm)
So I picked up a set of 4 of these Proline Scaler shocks in the 105-110mm size for my heavily modified TRX-4 Defender. The stock shocks were fine but they were stock and too short for the larger tires and wheel sets that I had picked up. I had also tried a set of Losi crawler shocks that worked good but again were basically stock size. While installing the oil I found that one of the shocks was missing a shaft guide, plus all the shocks seemed like they were going to struggle to hold oil as the shafts seemed overly loose in the shock seal area. I used a ton of green slime and did everything I could but the shocks all leak pretty bad. I know on a slow trail/crawler truck having leaky shocks isn’t a huge deal, but for well over 100.00 for the set I was pretty bummed with how bad the seals were as well as having missing parts. I also had to use bits of fuel tubing numerous washers and some spacers to install them on my TRX-4. They just didn’t come with much for installation. I contacted Proline and they did offer to send out the missing parts and also offered me 50% off any order that I put in with them directly. Ended up getting a couple 3.8” premount wheel/tire sets and a couple bodies so in the end they took care of me. Still have an expensive set of leaky shocks though. I will say they do look nice on the truck though.

Pro-Line Pro-Spec Scaler Shocks (105mm-110mm)
Got my order quickly and am satisfied with amain but am very disappointed with the Proline shocks, I put in 50wt oil and after 2 weeks installed on TRX4 Bronco all 4 are half empty and they leave a puddle on counter. Not the quality of shock for the money. Tried to find green slime like others have used but was out of stock. I am editing this because proline sent me replacement o rings for shocks, I changed just the bottom one and they seam to be holding..from 1 to 3 star, will edit again if no more leaks in future.
