The Pro-Line Octane SC 1/10 Short Course Truck Body was inspired by the No Prep Drag Racing scene at full-size drag strips around America. The Octane features incredible details like a raised hood scoop, wide stance, and optional rear deck spoiler. It’s sure to turn heads whether you’re drag racing No-Prep style, or cruising down your neighborhood street!

The Octane is a direct fit on all popular SC trucks with no modifications to the chassis necessary other than Extended Body Mounts (Slash 2wd: PRO6070-00, Slash 4x4: PRO6087-00). Pro-Line recommends using a 2.2” Buggy Wheel/Tire combo on the front combined with a 2.2”/3.0” SC Wheel/Tire in the rear for the ultimate scale hot-rod look.

NOTE: Painted body shown in photos is for illustrative purposes only and is not included. The body you will receive is clear and unpainted.

When I bought my DR10 kit, I also picked up one of these Octane bodies plus the ProLine Chevy Nova body. Biggest noticeable difference is the size. The Nova is smaller and fits the wheelbase and overall width of the car better. This Octane body was harder to mark and get the wheel wells cut in the exact right spots, plus the body seems wider than it needs to be, so the wheels look like they are mounted too far inside the fenders. I don’t think it effects performance, I just don’t think the body looks very good mounted up. I’m sure certain paint schemes would be better than what I did, but at least on my chassis, the Nova looks far better and more realistic.

Actually looks better in person than in the photos and lexan thickness seems reasonably uniform.
