The Pro-Line Big-Hit Solid Axle Servo Saver Kit was designed to absorb big hits, while still providing precision steering feel. The key is the precision machined Aluminum rocker arm that is suspended between two springs on the steering linkage. The springs isolate the Servo from damaging impacts but are stiff enough to provide that precise steering input that is expected out of high end race vehicles. The Big-Hit Servo Saver Kit includes a Black Anodized Aluminum pre-bent upper steering link that will fit a wide range of popular Solid Axle Monster Trucks and Rock Racers and the rocker arm has been laser etched with a P-L logo. The best feature is that all of the machined parts were made right here in the USA!

Features:

  • Absorbs Big Hits
  • Protects your Servo
  • Precision Springs Included
  • Laser Etched P-L Logo on Black Anodized Rocker Arm
  • Pre-bent Upper Steering Link Included
  • Made in the USA, since 1982

Pro-Line Big-Hit Solid Axle Servo Saver Kit
I'm on the fence with this product, it's expensive for what it is and it's pretty softly sprung, it wouldn't turn the tires on my SMT10 at a standstill, I had to add spacers on either side of the springs to get a better steering feel. Also when the servo horn attachment slides up towards the threaded end of the screw it scrapes on the threads and being made of aluminium I see this causing some wear. The threads in the rod are m3 and pretty shallow in depth, I had to use a shorter set screw to be able to fit the rod end on.

Picked this up for my SMT10. Albeit a bit pricey, it does a great job of being able to take big hits. My only gripe with the setup is a 3mm screw, instead of 5mm. Otherwise it is holding up really well. Not sure it didn't work for the other reviewer.
