This is the Picco Boost 5TR Team Spec Ceramic .21 Off Road Engine. This updated version of the already proven PICCO Boost 5TR offers the same incredible reliability, fuel mileage and ease of tuning as the original, but now offers even more performance and features at an incredible value. The PICCO Boost 5TR Team Spec features a 14mm balanced and silicone filled crankshaft to improve overall performance, a larger more efficient cooling head, updated crankcase design allows more clearance for different flywheels, super strong “knife edged” aerodynamic connecting rod, lightened piston CNC machined from high percentage silicone alloy billet, and a ceramic “Swiss” made rear bearing tops off the list of high end features.

The Boost 5TR Team Spec .21 engine is a top of the line racing engine with strong, linear bottom end and incredible top end performance. This balance of power and drivability give you what’s needed for fast and consistent lap times. Combine all this with its super stable tuning, excellent fuel mileage and PICCO’s legendary quality this makes it the total package in a Pro level buggy or truggy engine.

Picco Boost 5TR Team Spec Ceramic .21 Off Road Engine (Turbo Plug)
This engine is amazing! Wicked fast and super reliable and with a ceramic bearing, silicone filled crank, balanced counterweighted crank this engine has it all. Gets xlnt fuel mileage as well. Other engines with these features are over $400. Best thing is Picco makes their engines in house so its not another company just putting their name on it. If you factor in the performance and the features you are getting a LOT of engine for your money here.

Picco Boost 5TR Team Spec Ceramic .21 Off Road Engine (Turbo Plug)
It is my first nitro motor at all, i have no local guys to help, therefore you cannot even imagine abuse taken by this small mill. Lean run, overheating above 300F, air suckting from carb joint due to lost carb-lock screw (non-TLed), tank leaking and clutch issues. And after all that i was able to tune it and run it well with stable idle, strong acceleration and controllable powerband. Furthermore, after disassembling it and showing pics to Lance from tritonrc he said that engine is ok. I've made my own "3-15" compression test and it hold piston at TDC well. I'm very impressed with my Picco engine, the only thing missing is kit dust protect set, but GMK set doing' this job well.

I have ran both the older model and newer they are both incredible motors. I have never had a motor idle and hold a tune so well. The correct pipe choice will give you exactly what you need for any track. This motor feels as close to an electric motor with the smooth torque and high RPM of anything I've owned. O.S, Werks, Orion, Reds, Nova

Simply the best engine I had so far. Good price, good power, good reliability and durability. Once you get used to the engine, it is very easy to tune. Very good bottom end and top speed. You can't go wrong with this engine. Glad Picco engines are now available here ! Just buy the Picco glow plugs. (I prefer the P5TH so far). The O'Donnell plugs won't fit well. The Picco tuned pipe is a bit easy to bend however. I'm using EFRA 2046 tuned pipe. P.S. I had several engines before (O.S., Novarossi, LRP, Jammin, Ofna...) The best ones were made by Picco :)

Picco Boost 5TR Team Spec Ceramic .21 Off Road Engine (Turbo Plug)
I purchased a Clockwork modified 5TR and have truly been blown away by it's performance coupled with a Picco 2120 pipe (was in my MBX7r but just moved it over to a Tekno NB48). While it isnt an apples to apples comparison of a stock engine, the characteristics of the engine are just fantastic (I believe these are prevalent with the stock version as well). It makes fantastic power, is incredibly smooth (hands down my favorite engine of all time now) and provides good runtime. For the cost, it is an absolute steal! One thing of note, O'Donnel plugs will leak a bit (I've been running the 288T) and I've read that this happens with the O.S. plugs as well though I havent run one personally. Might be worth your while to run the Picco plugs. Engine has a large tuning window and a very stable idle.

Picco Boost 5TR Team Spec Ceramic .21 Off Road Engine (Turbo Plug)
This motor is so fast and will keep up with any 400$ + motor on the market. It has a ceramic bearing and a filled crank for $100 buck less than competitors. You cant go wrong with this motor. I have not had an issue, great run times, TONS of bottom but still smooth. If your thiking of a new motor buy this one. Plus you will have $$$$$ left over for a new pipe or tires!!!!!!!
