Parrot AR Drone 2.0 Flight Recorder
This is a replacement Parrot AR Drone 2.0 Flight Recorder. Geolocate your Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 with this GPS enabled device, keep track of its position and store your videos in its built-in flash memory.
Improvement in stabilization
Flying high, very high, is a dream which has become possible with the AR.Drone 2.0. When you climb to 50 meters, even 100 meters, the AR Drone 2.0 appears smaller and smaller to the naked eye, and therefore stabilization becomes an essential tool for control. Already a very powerful feature, stabilization is improved even more by the GPS receiver which calculates the position of your AR.Drone in space, preventing it from drifting in the wind. From now on, the sky's the limit.
Control mode: control by map
This control mode allows you to choose the destination of your AR.Drone 2.0. The control interface shows the geographical map on which you click to determine the destination of your AR.Drone 2.0. (within the limits of the Wi-Fi connection)
"Return home" mode
Making the AR.Drone 2.0 return to its take-off point is now child's play thanks to this new feature. Just press once on the corresponding button and the AR.Drone 2.0 comes straight back to its take-off point in a straight line.
View your flights in 3D on the AR.Drone Academy map
With the Flight Recorder, your flight data (altitude, speed, etc.) is enriched by GPS location data. By registering with the AR.Drone Academy, you can access all the flights you have made and, thanks to the GPS receiver, you can review the trajectory in 3D and position it on the AR.Drone Academy map.
An accessory compatible with MAVLink for developers
The GPS receiver now gives them further scope for development thanks to its MAVLink compatibility. QGround Control, a free program available for Windows/Linux/MAC allows them among other things, to program a detailed flight plan.
