This is the Novarossi "Super Strong" EFRA 9886 One Piece Tuned Pipe (no manifold). This is the one piece variety and requires an off-road manifold, which attaches to the tuned pipe using three small springs (not included). This pipe is designed for good top end performance, but it also has excellent bottom end performance on most Novarossi based engines. The 41021 is the recommended header for this pipe, and will produce smooth bottom end power that is not lacking in torque, while still producing incredible top end performance.

With the brutal nature of 1/8 off road racing it can be difficult keep any tuned pipe free of damage. A damaged tuned pipe will hurt engine performance and can be costly to repair or replace. The Novarossi "Super Strong" 9886 has been built with thicker material to take the abuse of serious off road racing. A positive side effect of the "Super Strong" pipe, is that it resonates at a different frequency, which makes this pipe quieter than the previous Novarossi 9886.

NOTE: This is only the tuned pipe, and does not include a manifold, manifold gaskets or retaining springs which must be purchased separately. This pipe is made available as a separate item so you can choose either the long or short manifold, depending on whether you want better top or bottom end performance.

Novarossi "Super Strong" EFRA 9886 One Piece Tuned Pipe (No Manifold)
Arguably the best pipe ever made. Funny thing is besides the SS designation this pipe has been around for a looong time. I think it was developed for the p5 originally although RB had one for their s engines this pipe goes back and yet the power it produces has not been present in any of the newer pipes. I roll with the 9886ss and 41001 header combo for really powerful engines or medium to larger tracks. Just try it and come on here and tell me how much you love it. I don't care what the pro drivers run. this one is a classic. It's on my car right now.

Novarossi "Super Strong" EFRA 9886 One Piece Tuned Pipe (No Manifold)
I have six of the '86' series pipes, including this Nova 9886. I am currently running this on my Savage with a clocked Nova 28-5 and 41001 header. There is little-to-any difference between this and the OFNA/Dynamite versions. On engines that have high RPM, this pipe is a must-have. Unless racing where EFRA-legal pipes are required I'd recommend getting the Dynamite or OFNA version to save a little money. Other than that it the '86' series of pipes are tremendous when coupled with the right engine.

Novarossi "Super Strong" EFRA 9886 One Piece Tuned Pipe (No Manifold)
I bought this to try on my On road car running an O.S Speed R2102 previously using aT2080 SC pipe. Wow ! What a difference the Nova made over the O.S pipe, bottom end was even more responsive with a superb top end, not to mention the noise it makes!

highly recommended!
