This is the Novarossi 2.5 Super Charged Engine with included 51226-207 manifold & pipe set, and is intended for use with the Traxxas T-Maxx Monster Truck.

This 2.5cc engine has been produced exclusively for the Traxxas T-Maxx and Revo Monster trucks. The 2.5 Super Charged (N2.5SC/RT) features the famous build quality and out-standing performance that you expect from Novarossi. This engines performance comes from the perfect mix of competition parts, including a 3 port ABC sleeve and a Turbo SG type crankshaft with an M7x1 thread to match the clutch systems from Traxxas. Novarossi 2.5 Super Charged Engine w/51226-207 Tuned Pipe (T-Maxx) (Turbo)
Power is just not there stock 3.3 has more torque and rpm this engine tunes very well though kind of a let down. Roto start broke twice during break in and also the piston. Sent it in for repair took one month and a halfto get it back not my best experience with a nitro engine with model.

The engine seems like it will hold it's tune well, but performance in my opinion is not up to the 3.3. Also, the engine is not a direct fit for the new TMaxx because the shock towers really make it difficult to get the Rotostart in place if not impossible. You will probably need at least one old style Shocktower to make the Rotostart accessible. Finally, the muffler is a bit oversized in my opinion.

On the plus side, I don't think this engine will hurt the reverse trans so that is a really good thing. I did install a new trans but ran plenty of tanks through it. You will get 2 or 3 carburetor restrictors, but they don't tell you what they do. I used the white one because it had the greatest tuning window.

Overall, dependability wise in my opinion is better than the Traxxas engines. This engine idles sweet too!
