Novak "Club Spec" Brushless ESC/Club Brushless Motor Combo (17.5T)
After reading the reviews I was hesitant on buying this combo, but after playing with my gearing I found it to be competitive little setup. Bought this cause of my budget and very pleased with this combo. If you want the best performance out of this combo than gear your car or truck right. :-) My example from my SCT. Spur (76) divided by Pinon (23) x Internal gear ratio (aka tranny ratio) 4.43 = 8.03 FDR (final drive ratio) Novak suggested starting point for the 17.5 is a 7.5 FDR and as you can see I'm over that number and need to still play around with my gearing to get it right for my liking and performance. Do I have any regrets buying this combo? Nope!

Novak "Club Spec" Brushless ESC/Club Brushless Motor Combo (17.5T)
I've run this combo for three months now in my B4.1 WC. I'm just getting back into the hobby and this was my first time purchasing a brushless combo for racing. I've been racing Novice Buggy at my local track and it has been a pretty decent setup. I've noticed that other 17.5 cars were much faster than mine, even with the same gearing. After buying a new Team Epic 17.5 motor, I can see where the short commings of this combo lie. The motor. My new motor is much more quiet and has a lot more power. The motor included in this combo is not a standard Ballistic motor and cannot be upgraded with Ballistic parts. The ESC, on the other hand, has been great. No issues. Does what I need it to do. If I had it to all over again, I would have bought the Clubman ESC and a separate motor.
