This is the Mugen MBX7E ECO M-Spec 1/8 Electric Off-Road Competition Race Roller Buggy. The Mugen design team started with the World Champion MBX7 Nitro buggy platform and created what could become the industry standard for 1/8 Electric Buggy racing. The M-Spec version is unique in that it is a pre-built 1/8 Electric Buggy with all the tricks and tweaks used by the Mugen Factory race team. The shocks, differentials, camber, caster and toe in settings are straight from Mugens stable of factory drivers and have been incorporated into a chassis that needs nothing more than your ESC/Motor, Radio, Battery and tires to be race ready!

The ECO is equipped with a battery tray that will allow you to use either two 2 cell LiPo batteries in a staggered mounting position for optimum weight distribution or a single 4 cell battery; the choice is yours! A re-designed motor mount has been beefed up, so you can run bigger, faster electric motors without losing gear mesh or without the flex that can cause motor and mount failures. The heavy duty sliding motor mount is anchored down with 4mm screws for extra strength. A re-designed ackerman plate has been used to provide adjustable steering response from smooth to aggressive, while a stylish cab forward body with raised sides on the rear portion delivers additional rear traction.

All the World Championship winning features from the MBX7 Nitro buggy are standard issue, from the rear suspension with adjustable anti-squat and toe in, to the shorter shocks on the front end; this is all part of the ECO platform.

Mugen Seiki MBX7 ECO M-Spec 1/8 Electric Off-Road Competition Race Roller Buggy
Bought this last week and am pretty happy with it, overall. The assembly is good for pre-built kits, you just need to loctite the normal stuff, adjust ride-heights, cambers and such, but no glaring mistakes or low-quality built junk. It looks to be the same quality of parts of my MBX7 nitro machine, which are great. It needs the normal setup work done for your track of course, but nothing glaring.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The MAJOR downfall to me, and the reason I didn't give it five stars is.............the included body is supposed to be for the nitro buggy, and doesn't fit worth a crap if you are running 4S batteries! For the price of this 'kit', you would think that they could AT LEAST include a body that will work like it's supposed to, rather than just throwing on something that looks good for the pics with no components in the chassis. Very lame!!! Not happy about that at all.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~If you buy this, and intend to use the stock body with 4s batts, be prepared to have to do some very time consuming body work to try and even be able to use it. :( Other than that, no real complaints from me.

Mugen Seiki MBX7 ECO M-Spec 1/8 Electric Off-Road Competition Race Roller Buggy
If you want a smooth, fast , easy to handle buggy this is the buggy for you. the only issue is that when you get the buggy you have to go and lock tight all the screws from metal 2 metal. The buggy will soak up the bumps 2nd to none and is my favorite buggy so far and I had them all. 3.0E, tekno, Jq, and the Mp9 tki2. Team Mugen #1

This Buggy is Awsome!!!! Dont be afraid to try this guy out. You do need to locktight any metal on metal parts but other than that setup to race.

4s lipos fit fine so maybe they changed the body. I've used (2) 2s packs and now run ROAR 4s bricks and I even have room to strap the lipo wire on top of battery. Many agree that the pistons need more pack as I agree and was slapping a lot very easily. I put a calliper on it and it's spec'ed tight and built right. Went to 6x1.25 (from 5x1.35) pistons, 7k in center, loc her in blue, dipped her in green and she ran tight with lots of grip running Big Blox X3. If she burns down Sunday, I'd order another on Monday. Awesome car and hope to build a Mugen Truggy next!
