Got this motor with a HW XR8 SCT in my Associated RC8B3.1e ebuggy. It totally rips! Clear the big triples with ease and it screams on the straight. I use a 15-46 gearing and 10 timing on it. Never dumped, never overheated.

This motor has gobs of torque, low end finesse, and yet some how delivers a top end punch that will likely surprise you. At the time of this review, I've had mine for a few months and it's held up racing in dusty and sandy conditions. Great competition motor at a reasonable price.

Nothing but good things to say for this motor. Haven't had all that many brushless motors as I'm more of a nitro guy, but I got this for my Tekno EB48 2.0 with a HobbyWing XR8 Plus ESC and a 16 tooth pinion. Longest straight on my local track is roughly 100 ft. long and this setup accelerates hard the whole way down. Power is very robust and the run times with the Gens Ace Redline 6000mAh packs are very long. My motor has gotten hot a few times during the summer. I put an Apex RC heat sink on the motor can to help with the temps, and then I went one step further and added thermal paste between the heat sink and the motor. Now my temps stay at 160-165 tops, so I'm fine with that and don't plan to add a motor fan. I have done zero maintenance to the motor and don't plan to do any really. Might add some motor oil to the bearing by the pinion but that's it. Won't bother to take it apart to oil the other bearing, yet I'm confident this will keep working fine.

I'm running mine on timing out of the box. Works great. No trouble keeping up with tekin buggies. Mine is in a 8ight-xe elite with a xr8 plus HW ESC. Seems good so far in hot dusty conditions.
