Model Expo 1/5 HP Air Compressor w/Tank & Double Action Airbrush
They sent me the compressor without the 3 liter tank but of course, with the great service the fixed this for me within a matter of days (including shipping back the correct one to my door in Canada). Anyway, I have only tested a little with this compressor but I'm loving it so far. With this compressor, it doesn't need to pump air all the time because of the extra Tank, and this is compressor is pretty quiet. When it's pumping air, the whole unit doesn't vibrate or shake to a degree that makes the whole unit shift / move - very stable. Air leakage?? no problem all around, except maybe the output to the airbrush's hose. Just use some Teflon tape and everything is good to go. For my regulator reading, currently my unit can hold steady around 58 psi without losing any air/pressure for god knows how long ---> tested like 15 mins and still holding steady = to me it's very good. The air flow is very steady and this is just a great compressor. Comes with the 1/4 --> 1/8 adapter. I Bought this set instead of the compressor alone because for an added $10 I can get an airbrush with it, why not? The airbrush is not those light plasticky cheap ones from China/Taiwan that you see on ebay or hobbyking but dont' expect like top quality Iwata brushes neither, it's steel made (except the end part) and feels pretty sturdy. Don't get me wrong, Taiwan have some great quality made compressors, actually, correct me if I'm wrong, but some of the "most used" compressors may be designed / manufactured in Taiwan. This compressor didn't say where it's made, but I'm guessing China or Taiwan. But anyway, I like this compressor and I think it's worth the money. You can go check on other stores and see what they're offering and compare the prices too. But I trust the stuff Amain carries which give an "added" confidence to me. Anyway, I will stick to this for a while for my air brushes. Last note, I dare say this compressor is good for all airbrushes. The pressure this unit gives is more than enough. If you need to do delicate work or have airbrushes that is only good under can always adjust the regulator. At it's fullest (around 58 PSI working pressure), this baby gives plenty of steady air / pressure. I give 5 stars for this and also considering the price.
