MKS Servos X5 HBL550LX Brushless Titanium Gear Low Profile Digital Servo (High Voltage)
Better than savox. Trashed 2 savox servos hitting the same wall at my local track. The internal gears in both servos were destroyed. Hit the same wall again with the MKS and it literally twisted my aluminum servo horn and the servo kept on performaning great.

MKS Servos X5 HBL550LX Brushless Titanium Gear Low Profile Digital Servo (High Voltage)
MKS HBL550LX is an amazing servo. It's works as beautiful as it looks
Smooth, fast, dialed accuracy and can take a beating. I believe the torque specs listed are lower than the servo actually provides, as the 550 torque seems to be the same as the 599. MOD wheeler no problem this servo will handle and do so flawlessly.

MKS Servos X5 HBL550LX Brushless Titanium Gear Low Profile Digital Servo (High Voltage)
I was turned onto the MKS brand after one of my local racers suggested me trying.

I had gone through 3 x savox rated SB2250 servos for my Ebuggy failed.

Now I have 3 mks...slowly replacing as my savox units fail.

Great product!

MKS Servos X5 HBL550LX Brushless Titanium Gear Low Profile Digital Servo (High Voltage)
Ordinarily, my low profile servo purchases have been Savox 1254 or ProTek 160T. But, after using MKS 550 series full size servos on one of my Pro2 trucks, I had to give this a go. This is used to replace a failed (Bad motor) ProTek 100SS on my TC7.2 VTA car. I absolutely love the power and speed of this unit. I wish I could tell you that it makes me 0.1 second a lap faster, but, I’m not a consistent enough a driver to tell anyone that.

If I have one criticism of the MKS 550 series servos, it’s that they are a a bit noisy. Not as bad as the Savox units I’ve used, but much more than any ProTek I’ve had.

For future needs, I’ll definitely be looking to MKS as a first choice.

MKS Servos X5 HBL550LX Brushless Titanium Gear Low Profile Digital Servo (High Voltage)
Kept having issues stripping a savox 1251mg and replaced it with this. Its been ROCK SOLID and amazingly FAST in my TLR 22 5.0, even on 6v! Had it about 5mo now racing on indoor carpet 1-2 times a week. Got me another one for my second buggy.

So far so good. Servo is quiet, plenty fast and appears to center well. Have only raced once with it but it has a very good feel to it.

MKS Servos X5 HBL550LX Brushless Titanium Gear Low Profile Digital Servo (High Voltage)
Servo came has a terrible grinding in it. Called A Main they said I needed to talk to MKS. MKS will not respond. First problem I've ever had out of A Main. Will go back to Protek servos.

MKS Servos X5 HBL550LX Brushless Titanium Gear Low Profile Digital Servo (High Voltage)
This thing is pretty awesome. For $100, I don't think you can get a better servo. I've used pretty much everything else in 1/10 electric and 1/8 nitro. I brushed a pipe in the straight and did a tumbler in practice. As a testament to the car and this servo, the only damage was to the cheap $7 Amazon servo arm which was bent. This servo has really good torque and speed- I think the numbers are conservative. No weird BEC or speed control issues like with Savox, re-centers perfectly, looks awesome, well built and compact.
DO NOT USE A PROTEK SERVO HORNS FOR 25T servos other than Protek.

MKS Servos X5 HBL550LX Brushless Titanium Gear Low Profile Digital Servo (High Voltage)
Was reluctant to buy this servo at first as I wasn't sure I needed such an expensive one. Very quiet and centers very well and doing its job so far. One issue is my servo horn was very difficult to install. Not sure if they are purposely made that way or not but it is a tight fit, you will have to use some force to get the horn on. Yes, I used the stock horns that came with it.
