Maclan HV Graphene V3 2S Shorty LiPo Battery w/5mm Bullets (7.6V/6100mAh)
I picked one of these up a few months ago when I got my second 22x4 kit. At the time I had pretty much exclusively used the Protek LiHV packs for the previous 3 years since getting back into the hobby, so I already had 4 of the 6100mah shorties for my 1/10 rigs, 3 of the standard 2s 8600 stick packs plus several of the 5600 and 6500 4s packs for my 1/8 rigs, but my LHS didn’t have any in stock. I had the picked up the Maclan 4500mah lcg version several months previously to see if I liked the lighter weight pack more than the 6100’s in my 2wd buggies, but had only run a couple cycles on it at the time. They had this Maclan pack in stock so I grabbed it so I could compare it to the Proteks that I was familiar with, and for the first several charges I couldn’t tell them apart in performance or runtime. I then screwed up and did what I always made sure to never do and I charged it before heading out to run some cars but didn’t end up using it, then forgot to discharge it back to storage levels and didn’t realize it for maybe 10 days tops. I never leave packs charged or at low voltage cutoff for even a few hours for that exact reason, and I haven’t had a problem with any other battery in years since I was running bargain basement packs in Slash, charging them with the cheapest charger you could find in 2004 haha. The pack ended up puffing up quite a bit, but surprisingly I’ve used it several more times when I’m just testing out new rigs or screwing around and while it seems as it’s lost a couple minutes of runtime, the performance seems to still be close to what it was prior to messing it up. Overall I would buy more Maclan packs but I took one star off because I don’t think a pack that is so new should nearly split the hard case from puffing because it was left fully charged for less than 2 weeks…

Maclan HV Graphene V3 2S Shorty LiPo Battery w/5mm Bullets (7.6V/6100mAh)
Looks like this isn't the only bad review...

Be aware of Maclans warranty! I purchased four ULCG batteries in the spring for the fall season, one of which swelled after three charges and this is what Maclan said:

"Lipo batteries hate not being used and should be cycled every 2 weeks if not being used. A defective battery will show up during the first couple of cycles. Our batteries have a 90 day warranty which should be sufficient time to detect a faulty battery..."

CHECK YOUR BATTERIES IMMEDIATELY UPON RECEIPT! If you buy batteries for seasonal use, you may get hung out to dry like I did!

Maclan HV Graphene V3 2S Shorty LiPo Battery w/5mm Bullets (7.6V/6100mAh)
Purchase four of these they work very well but unfortunately they puff up very easily. After just 2 months, two of them are already in the garbage. Very frustrated spending good money and having to toss them in the garbage.
