LRP Z.28/ZR.30-.32 Spec 2 Pull Start Assembly
The nitty-gritty: Theis Fits LRP ZR.32X Spec 4.1 monster truck engine (LRP32826) to convert it to a pull start set up. Explodes very, very easily compared to other pull starts I have owned.
Details: I bought the LRP ZR.32 Spec 4 with pull start to throw in an Associated RC8 3.2 that I got off ebay. (Still kinda feel like I robbed the guy, but I did a buy now so?). The ZR.32 Spec 4 will NOT fit in the vehicle due to contact between the pull starter and the RC8 3.2 rear drive shaft.
There was limited information on how to do the conversion, so I wrote LRP directly. They confirmed fitment, and the change was sucessful on all accounts.
You will also need a one-way bearing (LRP38491) and a pull start back plate (LRP38555) for the conversion.
Important: If you do not be EXTREMELY careful the ENTIRE TIME this is separated from the engine, IT WILL EXPLODE. This can be dangerous, as the metal spring is very thin, acting as a preloaded blade. It can cut you. To be safe, I fold a shop towl in half 4 times and fasten it over the assembly with a tight rubber band, both vertically and horizontially. When it explodes, you will need to purchase a new pull start.
