The Losi Super Rock Rey 1/6 4WD RTR Electric Rock Racer is a large scale, big power, machine. This rock racer gets its inspiration from the full size rigs found at the King of Hammers and similar events. The realistic solid rear axles gets its power from an 8S ready brushless motor and allows for speeds of 50+ MPH. When you are navigating this rig, AVC technology lets you hold nothing back through corners and jumps. AVC allows you to have full throttle range no matter the conditions.

Losi has included a lot of updated features to this Super Rock Rey. Long travel front and rear suspension allows the truck to soak up massive whoops and bumps and rip across the terrain. Threaded coil-over shocks for fine tuning the suspension to best suite your driving style. Full body roll cage to add strength and scale body panels for scale realism. Thick 4mm aluminum chassis for a super durable center section. Tune-able differentials to allow for the drive train to be dialed in for your driving style. A 1/6th scale 750kV brushless motor is paired with a 160A Smart ESC for unreal power and speed. Available in two different color schemes.

Losi Super Rock Rey SRR 1/6 4WD RTR Electric Rock Racer (Grey)
First off, I want to comment that anyone who takes an RC vehicle out and runs it hard will find the one weak point from the manufacturing process, but that is the best part of this hobby is finding ways to upgrade and improve the experience.

So this truck is massive and is my first 1/6 scale rock racer; I did a bunch of research before buying this truck and found out from YouTubers that if you buy this truck, have some spare steering knuckles on hand or get the upgrades ones from Losi Part # LOS354013. I got vitavon knuckles shipped and waiting to swap them over to mitigate that weakness. Otherwise, I have only just opened and admired the engineering of this truck. I will continue to update this review below with a date as I get to run it, and I will comment on any more weaknesses I find and what I did to resolve them with parts from this site or another.

Edit: 2022/03/02

So I have had SRR out for a spin, and the truck performs pretty well; I am glad I got the steering knuckles. So far, nothing has broken, but I am also not an extreme basher; I run it on an outdoor track with small jumps. I have also been searching for different tires and wheels that I have found from DDM racing Part # MMX140R. These will work with this truck, and I hope to change the driving mechanics a little.
After I get those tires, my next goal is to do a complete disassembly and go through all the parts and grease/oil points to ensure the factory did everything and look for any internal damage from my first run.

Losi Super Rock Rey SRR 1/6 4WD RTR Electric Rock Racer (Grey)
DO NOT BUY. So this all happened within 5 min of first run on 6s. Had little to no steering, which quickly started binding as losi uses a metal pin-in-plastic in their steering bellcrank, causing the servo to fail almost immediately. But not before the inner hub bearings spun up out of the front hubs and welded themselves to the drive shafts so that both front wheels have a death wobble. Working on this rig is a nightmare's nightmare. Took a blow torch and vise to get a bearing off an axle! Nothing comes apart and you have to disassemble the entire thing for one tiny part. Wouldn't k ow how it drives cause all it does is break. Owned for 3 months, driven that ONE TIME.
