This is the Kyosho Scorpion 2014 1/10 2wd Buggy Kit. The legendary Kyosho Scorpion is known for being the first truly scale looking R/C buggy that could deliver race worthy on track performance. Even 30 years after its 1982 release, the Scorpion has left a lasting mark with enthusiasts around the world, being one of the most highly sought after cars by vintage collectors. Combining the unmistakable look of the original with modern features and upgrades, the Scorpion 2014 delivers strength, performance and durability that cannot be matched by the original model.

A two-piece die-cast aluminum gearbox has been combined with a slipper clutch to protect the transmission and a gear differential to improve the durability and driving experience. Precision 48 pitch gears reduce traction pulsation for improved control characteristics, while the underside of the countersunk chassis has no protruding screw heads for minimal ground contact, increasing durability. Stainless shock shafts and aluminum shock bodies offer a smooth shock stroke from top to bottom, and a majority of the self tapping screws have been replaced with improved lightweight hex machine screws for easier maintenance.

Like the original Scorpion, the 2014 is packaged as an unassembled kit, but the transmission and shocks have been factory assembled to simplify the build. So whether you are a veteran racer reliving the magic of the early days of R/C racing or a modern day racer that wants to experience the thrill of racing the vintage class, pick up a Scorpion 2014 and see why the Scorpion deserves its reputation as one of the greatest cars of all time.

Kyosho Scorpion 2014 1/10 2WD Buggy Kit
The kit for the re release Kyosho Scorpion is great. The directions are clear and parts are labeled very good. Most of the time you are only using a couple open bags at a time which is a plus. I selected a Speedpassion Reventon S combo with the 17.5 t motor. I think a 17.5t motor is the lowest turn you should go with. Anything else would be virtually uncontrollable. Car has wonderful aluminum parts and looks amazing when finished

Kyosho Scorpion 2014 1/10 2WD Buggy Kit
Very happy. Fast shipping and well packaged.
I also would like to see parts support, but its still early in the game.
On comparison with the original Scorpion, probably 95% of parts will be interchangeable.
Interestingly the rear wing is injection molded, not polycarbonate. And is a slightly different color to the tub.
Sadly I see no indication of what paint to use to get matching with the tub...?

Kyosho Scorpion 2014 1/10 2WD Buggy Kit
Mine turned up & I'm completely stoked with it. I got it with a $22 July discount so thank you Amain! Will start putting it together over the next few days & hopefully have running by the end of the weekend. The only suggestion I'd make is to for Amain to have parts support for the kit. I did get the upgrade diff set here. But there's no replacement parts here for this kit & what about those wanting to paint their body the same colour as the chassis tub? Yes I can get them elsewhere but do feel I shouldn't have to. Top rating for the kit itself but Amain did drop the ball elsewhere. If your getting them in I do apologise & do hope your able to get them.
