Kyosho DBX VE 2.0 Ready Set 1/10th 4WD Electric Off Road Buggy
I've owned my VE 2.0 for about 3 months now, and I drive it at least twice per week at the track. I would categorize this as a great buggy for learning how to drive and getting some experience in the hobby. It has plenty of quickness, I moved down from the stock 16t pinion to the 13t, I think the car runs better with the additional torque and acceleration (top-end speed is overrated). The stock servo and transmitter are barely acceptable, both should be upgraded fairly soon, & definitely run this buggy on a 3S lipo not a 2S.

Out of the box this buggy is not quite track ready unless your going to drive on a dirt oval track. The suspension needs major adjustments to be able to jump and have safe landings without breaking parts. I used the stock shocks & put in 50wt shock oil and it helped a lot but eventually the cheap plastic threads will strip and you will pop your shock caps. Solution? Buy the upgraded aluminum shocks and stiffer springs, once I did that I was able to drive much more effectively with no worries about the buggy getting damaged when landing jumps. Once you upgrade the shocks this car can handle easy to medium tracks, but I wouldn't recommend driving on an expert track w/huge jumps. Also, DO NOT drive this car on an indoor clay track, the surface is too rough on this car when you land jumps. Make sure it's an outdoor track w/soft dirt and you should be fine. The buggy is VERY EASY to work on and repair I can have the entire thing disassembled, change all the diff fluids and it put pack together in 30 minutes or less. If you can afford to buy this buggy plus upgrade the transmitter, steering servo, get a high-end 3S lipo, and the Aluminum Kyosho shocks then I would recommend getting this car. But be aware I've spent an additional $250 on this buggy after buying it to make it suitable for a medium-difficulty track with fairly tame jumps.

Kyosho DBX VE 2.0 Ready Set 1/10th 4WD Electric Off Road Buggy
So I am new to electric buggy racing but not RC so here it goes.
1. the handling is great but the rear tires seem to get most of the power, so lots of power sliding/ drifting.
2. it sits a little low but the shocks take great care for cornering.
3. I would suggest only to use s2 or s3 batteries. the NiHM seem to have low voltage problems at first but after a few min it levels out.
4. body is really tuff and breaking this thing is really hard.
5. Tires come soft so for play its fine
6. everything was tightened down well and no adjustments were really needed.
7. this buggy handles jumps really well and loves to hug the ground.
8. Never had any issues about loss of grip even with my soft tires on blue groove. the larger wheels make it really easy to buy perfect tires for it on any terrain.

over all I love driving this thing, its fast enough to shock but not out of controls. The servos are strong too, nothing they cant handle.
9.0/10

Kyosho DBX VE 2.0 Ready Set 1/10th 4WD Electric Off Road Buggy
I BOUGHT THIS RTR ABOUT 2YRS AGO AND IT NEEDED SERIOUS UPGRADES. I CHANGED OUT THE SHOCKS TO THE MP9E SHOCKS. NOW SHE LANDS NICE AND SOFT. I BOLTED ON A LOSI WING FOR MORE DOWNFORCE.I CHANGED ALL THE RODS TO MAKE EASY ADJUSTMENTS.I PUT ENOUGH UPGRADES IN IT TO BUY ANOTHER ONE. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT. I BOUGHT IT TO RUN IN SUPER LIGHT CLASS BUT IT WAS DISCONTIUNED. DECENT BUGGY THAT CAN RUN ON A 1/8 SCALE TRACK.
