This is a fantastic airplane for a 3 channel (and for the money). It's scale appearance is spot on with a high gloss film over the foam. Mine has a very pronounced dihedral making it very stable. The brushless motor gives it power plus... and then some! I made a BIG mistake on my first flight, I changed the elevator setting from where it was set from the factory. I raised the elevator by one and a half revolutions of the clevis at the end of the pushrod. Don't Do this!!! On take off it looped the second it got airborne. Even though I cut the power at the top, it still got scuffed up a wing tip and the landing gear bent a little. I put the clevis back to where it was from the factory, bent the landing back straight and took off again. It lifted smoothly into the air like it should have... had I not monkied with it. I had built a Tech One "Paiget" flat out 3D foamie with a brushless motor so I wasn't prepared for the speed of this J3. The Paiget has airbrakes on the ailerons and is mainly for squirreling around in the sky but this J3 cuts through the air with "great vigor". Loops can be huge to small, whichever you want at the time. The tx has a dual rate function on it and I'm keeping it set on low for a while. On full rate you can put this J3 into a bodacious spin if you're not prepared for it. Looks gets a 5 out of 5. Performance gets a 5 out of 5 too. Nice airplane Kyosho (which is also decaled largely on both sides of the fuselage)!

I was looking around the site for a plane I liked, and this one caught my attention immediately. Unfortunately, after a week of waiting, my airplane arrived without a battery or charger. Yes, I should have read the description more carefully, but I was still a bit disappointed that they would sell the plane without the necessary items. By the way, the battery and charger together will cost you about another 100 dollars. They are not sold on the A Main Hobbies site.
