This is an optional JQ Products "THE Punch" Gearing Set, and is intended for use with the JQ Products THE Car Yellow Edition. This optional gear package replaces the stock front and rear 43/13 tooth ring/pinion gear, and 45/13 tooth spur/clutchbell, to a 43/11 tooth ring/pinion gear, and a 44/15 tooth spur/clutchbell, for a slightly smaller gear ratio. While this change only alters the final drive ratio (FDR) slightly, it changes the internal ratio between the ring and pinion gears dramatically. Doing this, the buggy will have a lot of bottom end punch great for smaller tracks and areas with big jumps and little space to get up to speed.
NOTE: 15 tooth clutch bell not included (JQP-B-167)
Stock Gearing:
- 45T spur/13T clutchbell = 3.46
- 43T ring/13T pinion = 3.30
- 3.46 x 3.30 = 11.418 FDR
THE Punch Gearing:
- 44T spur/15T clutchbell = 2.93
- 43T ring/11T pinion = 3.90
- 2.93 x 3.90 = 11.427 FDR
