This is the JQ Products "THE Car" Ready to Run Competition 1/8 Scale Buggy. JQ Products is setting a new standard for performance in the RTR 1/8 scale buggy market. Using clever design and production arrangements, JQ Products has been able to produce a high spec RTR 1/8 scale buggy that is as close to the Pro version of THE Car as possible, at a price that makes it affordable to get into an 1/8 scale buggy!

Most RTR's use bargain bin equipment that makes them unreliable and hard to drive, even for experienced racers. This is not the case with THE RTR! Savöx digital servos and an Alpha engine were chosen as standard equipment based on their performance, as well as their affordability. The included Savöx digital servos are strong and fast enough to control the buggy with a level of precision that is similar to cars with high end servos, while the standard pull start Alpha engine has more than enough power for this super lightweight buggy. Plus, when you drive THE Car you have access to an unbelievable world wide support team that is fielded by a wide range of drivers, including JQ himself! So whether its engine tuning or setup advice, JQ Products is behind you 110% to help you achieve success on the track.

JQRacing "THE Car" Competition RTR 1/8 Buggy
I've had the RTR for around 6+ months now & think its great & haven't had any issues with it, I liked it that much that I also purchased & built the Yellow Edition as well. Like you should with any new buggy, no matter what brand, I hit it with threadlock & haven't lost any screws while driving it. The engine is great, good power & easy to tune & can easily have the Alpha turbo head button fitted for a little extra power if wanted, but as it is it goes real well.
The radio gear & servo's have been great & I actually used them in my Y.E buggy until I got a new engine & servo's for it, I haven't had any issues with the servo's & they have worked & are still working great & the radio does the job its intended for without a problem.
The good thing about THE RTR is that it shares alot of parts with the Y.E pro kit & virtually all other parts can be fitted so its easy to upgrade when or if you want to so you can make it even better but it already goes & handles real well & for an RTR buggy I think it would go close to being the best on the market.
Also, the JQ Products customer support is brilliant & can't be beaten, its 2nd to none & its something you don't get much of theses days with alot of things so its good to know you can actually speak to the top people in the company if needed, even if its just to ask for set up info or advice.
Like any RTR buggy though, they are built to a price so don't expect it to be able to compete with the top cars on the track & don't expect it to be completely unbreakable, everything can be broken, no matter who its made by.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend THE RTR from JQ Products, I'm glad I got it (& the Yellow Edition as well).

JQRacing "THE Car" Competition RTR 1/8 Buggy
JQ has great technical support if anything goes wrong "not saying anything did." The car is really fast, handles well, and i took it to the track here i Kansas and won the Intermediate class race! It can be upgraded with anything from the original cars and one thing thats always a must is fuel filer and new tires. Other then that this car has been perfect!

JQRacing "THE Car" Competition RTR 1/8 Buggy
I really like this car. I am surprised by how nice the RTR Alpha engine is. It was a breeze to start and break in and has sufficient power for all my needs. It handles very well and it's a pleasure to drive. And the support from JQ company is top notch. I'm really happy I bought it!. If you buy one watch out for the four top engine mounting screws. There were not factory thread locked and came loose, so before you start remember to secure them.

JQRacing "THE Car" Competition RTR 1/8 Buggy
Excellent buggy for the price. The engine, servos, and tires really seem like they are a notch above other rtr Buggies(didn't use the radio). The engine in particular is superb and is the easiest to start and tune nitro engine I've ever had. It's also taken a lot of abuse without any breaking any parts.

JQRacing "THE Car" Competition RTR 1/8 Buggy
This is a great buggy. I typically race 1/10 off road and typically build full race kits. I wanted to get an 1/8 scale nitro buggy for fun and this buggy is fun. Because I like race cars, I have upgraded a lot on this car but the fundamentals are all there out of the box. I would only recommend that you give it a good once over with thread lock. I neglected to hit the screws on the front steering knuckles with thread lock and one of them came apart during a good bash session. I lost one of the bushings and have been side lined waiting for it to arrive. Otherwise, this buggy is tight.

JQRacing "THE Car" Competition RTR 1/8 Buggy
I bought a used on off eBay and just had to have a new one, so i took advantage of Amain's good price. I have many 8th scale buggies and this is by far the best value, in fact out of any rtr in any class.the servos are enough, the motor is snappy and has plenty of power and the design is great. it handles almost as good as a ticked-out yellow edition, which a friend of mine has and is a consistent race winner. The only issue I found was, like any rtr, you have to locktite everything. The tires aren't great but that's an easy fix. I think that this is a steal, especially at the new, lower price. I would but this for bashing and even to get into racing. If you do that just buy a good radio and then upgrade the other parts as you go. They fit perfectly from the yellow and white editions. This thing is a ripper! So much fun! I Hope JQ keeps growing his business because he knows cars...

JQRacing "THE Car" Competition RTR 1/8 Buggy
Bought theCAR rtr and got it on sale, car seems to be really durable and a good runner, friends that drive losi 8ights were really impressed and this would keep up with their cars with engines that cost more then my car, definitely take care to check all screws and loctite critical ones, first day out steering knuckle screw came out and lost steering knuckle busing and that ended the fun quick but nothing broke just had to get replacement parts. Would recommend this car!

JQRacing "THE Car" Competition RTR 1/8 Buggy
There is no better deal than this! Best RTR on the market right now. I've had this buggy for about 8 months and I haven't broken a single thing. It gets bashed on-road, off-road and on the track and it doesn't quit. Best RTR motor available that delivers plenty of punch where you need it. I would defiantly recommend this buggy to anyone looking to get into the sport. All the parts from the pro-kit fit and can slowly be upgraded as your budget allows you. Also, remember even if it's RTR, you should inspect all the bolts before you run.

JQRacing "THE Car" Competition RTR 1/8 Buggy
I recently bought this, and i have to say I am impressed. I have had many RTR's in my day but nothing compared to this, of course its still not a kit and going to need some upgrades but that comes with any RTR. The durability and performance of this car is fantastic and for the price you can't beat it. I would recommend looking in the manual and seeing what screws need lock tight and lock tight them right away (I had some issues with screws coming loose, but nothing a little lock tight couldn't fix.) other than that this car has been perfect i'm very impressed with JQ and his design. Also everyone is worried about the servo, I agree that the steering servo could have a little more torque but when your on the track you dont even notice and it does just fine. If you are sceptical on buying this I say just do it you wont be dissapointed at all.

JQRacing "THE Car" Competition RTR 1/8 Buggy
So far so good with this buggy just finished breaking the motor in and no problems. Went over the buggy with thread lock as soon as opened it and half the car was already done from the factory which is great. The manual is really nice and the included quick start guide is easy to understand. They also included with the quick start a great reference guide with part # on which parts are the same as the pro kit version, and gives you the parts needed to upgrade to the pro version. I recommend having a temp gun if you have not tuned a nitro motor before makes life easier. Overall very pleased with this buggy, really quick for a RTR, good servos which i have had no issues with as of yet, decent tread pattern on stock tires, and half the parts on the car are straight from the pro kit version. Radio set up seems really cheesy but does what its suppose to with some good range.

JQRacing "THE Car" Competition RTR 1/8 Buggy
so, the steering servo says 111.09 oz in, and when i pull that servo up on Amain, it says its only 83oz... so which is it? i wouldnt think 83oz wouldnt be enough and I really want this buggy, but not if their giving false info for it...can anyone clarify on this?
