This is an optional JQ Products 41 Tooth Front Overdrive Crowngear, and is intended for use with JQ Products THE Car Yellow Edition. This crowngear is also an optional part for the first edition THE Car equipped with "THE Smooth" gearing (JQP-S-025).
The use of this smaller 41 Tooth (43 is stock) overdrive gear makes the front tires pull more on power. Team drivers who have tried this gear, feel that it makes THE Car easier to drive on power, as the rear end stays more planted. It also changes the feel of the steering, and for most drivers makes it easier to hold their line in corners. This crowngear is for use with the 13 tooth pinion gear. With the first edition THE Car, this crowngear would be for use with "THE Smooth" gearing.
