This is an optional JConcepts "Monroe" Carbon Fiber Battery Brace, and is intended for use with the Losi 22 family of vehicles. Battery hold-down security and simplicity are packed into 1 complete package with the introduction of the JConcepts Monroe – TLR 22, 22T and 22SCT carbon fiber battery brace set. This simple battery hold-down system takes into consideration racers utilizing a short and long battery configurations on a regular basis. Simply outfit the vehicle with the JConcepts battery brace set and racers can secure their chosen battery with a carbon fiber and aluminum assembly, regardless of which battery length you use! The set includes a compact, lightweight and versatile carbon fiber Monroe battery brace, JConcepts black anodized thumb/wrench nuts along with aluminum long and short, black anodized posts, mounting hardware and detailed instruction sheet.

Not the MOST well thought out solution for a 22 buggy. IF you want to use it with front battery tray in the rear holes, you have to drill out the rear battery tray mounts and mount it with the long part pointing toward the front of the car. and if you want to use it in the middle hole configuration (front battery tray in forward full pack location) you have to STILL mount if with the long part point toward the front, hanging over past the battery and over the receiver area (which looks horrible). The long center brace section is about 6mm too long to fit facing toward the rear without either chopping down the end of the brace, or notching out the rear battery tray (unless you have a very skinny battery pack then the end MIGHT be able to slide under the tray... but not likely). COMMON Jconcepts... you couldn't just make it 6mm shorter?!?!

If you follow directions this thing works perfectly. Paired with Avid's slotted battery brace, it holds shorty packs where they will not move. You may have to mill out the holes where the thumb screws recess into the carbon fiber for a proper fit.
