JConcepts Double Dee's Short Course Tires (2) (Green)
Very good on hard packed clay tracks with dusty off line areas, tread wear is amazing from the hotter daytime 25ºc+ to the cooler night running conditions in the 14-16ºc range. Outside side pins start to wear down well before anything else. I keep trying other tires but keep coming back to the Double D's as they are a no brainer and just work.

Agree with first review! These tires work awesome on hardpack, slightly dusty, clay surface. Great wear for a soft compound, I can get 3 weekends out of these for club racing.

JConcepts Double Dee's Short Course Tires (2) (Green)
A great all-around tire for a variety of surfaces/conditions. They can go from a dusty hard pack track to a clay track and do well in either situation. They are not going to excel on the clay, but they work quite well especially if the clay is on the dry side. Also, they do surprisingly well on loose/loamy dirt for being a small pin type tire. Wear is on the average side using the super-soft compound. Not too fast, not too slow. The sidewall has good support and the foam insert fits well with minimal play. All-in-all an excellent multi-condition tire from JC. If you can only choose one tire for your SC truck, this would be a choice you would not be disappointed with.

I like the traction of these DD's out of the bag but was very concerned with the amount of wear I got after one race day on my Losi SCTE 4x4.

1st race: soft newly laid clay, wet, sewer pipe barriers: tires had bald spots in strips. Probably from contact over sewer pipes or other cars.
2nd race: put 2 new ones on to replace the ones that were most damaged. Track conditions: blue groove track, calcium hardened with grape soda added: pin wear was down to almost no tread throughout after 2 quals and a main.

Will agree that even with heavy wear the tires never seemed to lose any performance. In fact, I improved my lap times by over 2 seconds. But I will be switching to some other tire because I am not rich enough to afford new tires every 2 weeks.
