This is a set of two JConcepts Bar Codes Short Course Tires. The Code of Silence has been broken, and the Bar Codes are out. The Bar Code design is a fresh Short Course tire design from JConcepts racing development and regardless of class or scale, the Bar Codes = top notch performance. Like the name suggests, the alternating bar design combined with the addition of the Y side bars provide un-compromised support for blue and black groove conditions. Bar Codes are a special breed of tire, designed for maximum performance when new or used as the design allows even wear all the way down to the tire body.

Bar Codes in new condition excel on hard surfaces that have taken rubber with either dry or wet grooved conditions. Worn Bar Codes excel on indoor or outdoor clay tracks where a minimal dust groove has formed. Available in Super Soft Green Compound, Indoor Soft Gold Compound and Soft Orange Compound, the Bar Codes are a specialty tire that when matched to the appropriate track can provide amazing results.

Features:

  • Alternating “Bar Code” design with Y side bars
  • X-Design interior carcass for enhanced support
  • Includes JConcepts And-1 inserts

JConcepts Tire Compound Applications:

  • Orange (Soft): Intended for Black/Blue Groove conditions. Excels on Dry, High Temperature Tracks.
  • Blue (Soft): Recommended for all conditions.
  • Gold (Indoor Soft): Developed for indoor Clay surfaces.
  • Green (Super Soft): For conditions with minimum traction. Works well on slippery, wet tracks.

JConcepts Bar Codes Short Course Tires (2)
A rely good tires! They gripp realy well on asphalt and concrete and gras, in the turns the hold your vehicle nicely. I run them on blitz ese and no complains about! For dusty tracks are better the prolines...but for basnig and gooing on the gras - perfect!

JConcepts Bar Codes Short Course Tires (2) (Gold)
Absolute best clay Tire I have tried. My local track just redesigned the layout and I was having a hard time finding a tire that worked. It is a clay/loam mix that is cool and kept moist. After a few weeks it has packed pretty hard and nothing was sticking for me in my SCT. I ordered this as a desperate attempt since they were specifically designed for indoor clay. I must say they worked AWESOME. My truck is 2wd and I cannot say one bad thing about them. I run brushless and the truck is pretty fast. I had a few people come up to me and ask me what I was using which has never happened. Apparently the gold is not common at the shop. After a full day of racing there was minimal tire wear which was great. Overall highly recommend if you are racing on and indoor clay track.

JConcepts Bar Codes Short Course Tires (2) (Gold)
I raced today using these Bar Codes in gold compound on a clay indoor track. They wet the track and many guys were running slicks with tire compound. I tried slicks in one heat, but ended up putting Barcodes on +3 Hazard wheels. These tires work great, they will clog up a bit on wet clay but they clean out when you accelerate fast. Great tires for indoor. I will be running these outdoors this summer too.

JConcepts Bar Codes Short Course Tires (2) (Black)
I thought i should do a follow up review now that i have more runs on these tires. Im running them in pro-2 with a tekin 7.5. Our indoor track surface temp has been running 44-55 degrees. These are my prefered tires if there is any moisture in the track. If its on the dry side, they just wouldnt hook up compered to my beams. I like these much more than the golds on a cool, moist, packed clay track. Wear is good too.

JConcepts Bar Codes Short Course Tires (2) (Gold)
These are the "must" tire on our local indoor "clay" track. I say "clay" in quotes as the surface is actually some sort of mix of dirt and other stuff, producing a hard, dark brown, medium/high bite surface. In the mornings when it's wet, ProLine Ions are recommended. But as soon as it dries out, Bar Codes are the winners. Great tires, last a long time too.
