JConcepts 1987 Buick Grand National Street Eliminator Drag Racing Body (Clear)
The JConcepts 1987 Buick Grand National Street Eliminator Drag Racing Body is "Bad to the Bone". This American classic is now available in true G-body form for the RC scene. The wide body, flat paneled, low-roof line shape tracks great down the racetrack. A low front chin, bumper construction and pocketed headlights immediately look like punishment is headed your way. The long and swooping quarter-panels are a staple of this generation vehicle and it certainly cuts like a knife on the drag strip. Fender flares are apparent and appropriately positioned and sized for JConcepts Hotties tires.
The cab itself is one of the identifiable features of the GNX. Its balanced positioning and sharp lines makes competitors retreat in fear. Rear bumper creation was detailed to allow the use of a personalized license plate from the included decal sheet. A small built-in rear spoiler keeps things looking original for those sleepy builds and creations. Each body set includes a 1987 Buick Grand National decal sheet and the paint mask for all windows, and each body set is backed with JConcepts customer support and racing heritage.
Specifications:
The Grand National measures a 13.00" wheelbase and the inside dimensions of the body are 12.00" front and rear. The body is built for a 2wd SCT wheelbase length and narrowed to more resemble the original 1:1 counterpart. It is helpful to plan your build, take measurements and modify your platform to fit inside the boundaries of the Buick body.

Dont know about using for a drag car, but for a dirt circle track car, its perfect. Far less costly than Shark's Monte Carlo and very close in size, fits the Slash platform perfect. We cut out the back entirely and the flat sides are great for corner speeds. make your own Grill and headlamp decals and its passes as a Monte Carlo. Jconcepts needs to be including these bodies for oval track use. Went from a 1967 Chevelle to the Buick body and greatly improved corner speeds an a very fast dirt oval here in Florida. Plus they dont crack, nor does the Chevelle. The Chevelle body has been buckled and bent, but no cracks.
