ImmersionRC Vortex 275 PRO ARF 350mW Quad Race Drone (Metall Danny Edition)
Bought this model to get my feet wet in the FPV world. I've tried every other version of the remote control field over the years. That being said, I'm trying to stock up on the spare parts I know I will need when I start running into things(trees, ground, etc...), I find that you can't get a one to one replacement for the motors. Immersionrc replied to my email that I needed to use a 2204 2300kv motor. That means I need to buy 4 or more to replace just one damaged motor that comes with the kit. Not good.
If it was just released in August of 2016, shouldn't there at least be spares available?? Also, the props that come with it seem to be discontinued??
For these reasons alone, I'm giving this kit a 2.
It is a very nice kit all the same. Very good quality.

ImmersionRC Vortex 275 PRO ARF 350mW Quad Race Drone (Metall Danny Edition)
I normally don't write bad reviews but I think it is important that someone looking at this quad needs to know an important detail about it. It has nothing to do with the quality of this quad. The quality is really good. I got this quad because of the better motors and only features. But while setting up this quad I couldn't figure out why the motor were going full throttle in the two stabilized flying modes. Well come to find out after talking to immersion this version of the vortex ONLY comes with Acro mode. This is an important detail that is left at of the product description on both this website and immersion website. If your a beginner to racing quads such as myself you should get the normal vortex that way you have the stabilized modes to learn with. Otherwise you will be like me and trying to learn to fly this quad in full manual mode. So be careful what you choose if you are new to racing quads.
