HPI Racing Crawler King RTR with Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Body
Purchased for my 4 year old son and I love driving this thing. I strongly recommend purchasing a front steering mount conversion (East End Machining) as well as the metal front steering linkage and stronger servo. I finished off the mods with a 176:1 gearbox conversion, rear steering to match the front and a swap to the XL-5 motor and waterproof speed controller from Traxxas (donated). Oh - and wide axle adapters for the HPI GT S compound tires on Proline wide offset 2.8 rims. It is awesome to get and build. 2 years of ownership, and only broken an axle outdrive dogbone when 4 year old attempted to scale inverted rock ledge.

HPI Racing Crawler King RTR with Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Body
Purchased the CK as a first crawler. I scoured the forums looking for more info on this crawler and found very little due to it being very new. I did some simple mods right out of the box that have helped, I lowered the battery box and trimme the tire foams the first night I had it and that worked wonders. The biggest problems I have had so far was the shocks and steering servo. The servo is way under powered for the tires, and after adding some weight to them the problem got worse. I put in a Futaba High Torque servo and it is right as rain now. I had to replace the stock shocks after I took it out crawling the first time. They were leaking so bad I was leaving an oil slick on the rocks I was crawling over. I would recommend this truck for someone who is wanting to do some crawling and having fun, not for a comp crawler though. I have caught the bug and looking for an upgrade already.
