Hot Racing Tall Battery Hold-Downs for Traxxas Maxx (Blue)

Good idea and definitely a good upgrade, but like a lot of Hot Racing products, the machining is left....somewhat undone. The parts install just fine, but the inside edges of the slots where the velcro strap passes through are left unchamfered and sharp. During some hard bashing, this can cause those sharp edges to shear the velcro strap (ask me how I know), which leads to your battery being ejected. My recommendation is to get a detail file and put a good rounded edge on the velcro slots and it should work well.

Awful product. Doesn't hold batteries at all even with only mild bashing the Velcro comes undone and the battery smashes around. I lost a brand new battery because it this, shouldn't have to check every 5 min to see if the battery came out. I will be switching back to the stock Traxxas battery lock.
