I actually bought this as well for the same reason the first guy bought his, for the front springs on my 1/10th Baja Rey. In my opinion the stock front springs are far too soft to keep the weight of the truck up and off of the front end. Before I even ran my Baja Rey for the first time I tested out what it felt like with less or more preload on the front springs. I myself had to crank the collars on my front shocks pretty much all the way down with the stock springs to get them to perform adequately enough to just use the truck. It doesn't help that solid axle trucks like this have a tendency to be nose heavy and scrape the front on a lot of stuff so this set of front springs really helped. I don't know also if it is just me but I noticed that when you have a battery in with the Baja Rey the front springs are really even worse than when it has no battery. I run a Spektrum 3s 5000MAH lipo and its definitely a heavier pack, but I can tell a noticeable difference when I use my Spektrum 3s 5000mah VS my 2s 5000mah packs that I use (lighter). The overall length of these springs are also longer so it is much better you do not need to crank the preload down at all. I put the black springs on my truck and so far its a huge improvement, especially with the extra weight of the 3S lipo like I said. The black springs in this pack are the thickest dia. wire so they will be the stiffest. I have not gotten out too much with the black springs on yet, but the silver springs would also be great to test out. The silver ones feel about similar to the stock spring rate, the wire looks similar too but I think the silver springs may be stiffer, hand feel definitely isn't accurate. Even if the silver spring is a similar or same spring rate to the stock, the added length on the silver springs would still be a benefit since they don't need to be cranked down at all or as much. I don't see myself needing to ever use the red set of springs since they feel too soft, but hey for 9.88 for a pack of 3 sets of springs I am not complaining at all.
