Hot Racing composite transmission gearbox case with aluminum motor plate and arm mounts for use in the Traxxas Bandit, Rustler, 2WD Stampede, and 2WD Slash

Hot Racing Traxxas Composite Gear Case w/Aluminum Motor Plate
This is a pretty good upgrade part. Many parts came with it, but there were no instructions, and I was also not able to find any online, as it can get confusing. The heatsink works very well and dissipates a lot more heat. It also looks much nicer than the stock in terms of aesthetics. One concern that I have, however, is how the rear bumper (Slash 2wd) is mounted. It is mounted on the motor plate with two metal connectors and feels less sturdy than the stock. It certainly won't affect the handling, but I do feel that the motor plate could get bent if the truck lands funny on the rear. The rear arms have a bit of play when installed on this (but no big deal, since I can add some spacers on the pins)

Hot Racing: Instead of having two thin metal connectors, try a piece of thick plastic for the screws to go through. That would make it more solid, and better at absorbing shocks. Also try to make the arm connection place have less play in it.

Overall, I would say get this if you drive lightly, and want lower motor temperatures. Get the RPM gearbox if you want a sturdier rear bumper mount.
