Hot Racing Axial SCX24 Aluminum Threaded Long Travel Shocks (4)
The guy below me needs to rotate the connection points at the top and bottom of the shocks. The wide part of the flange needs to be facing out to retain the orings. These are great. They do make the truck sit higher, even with the softest spring. I’m thinking about trimming a couple coils from each spring. Definitely recommend. ??

Hot Racing Axial SCX24 Aluminum Threaded Long Travel Shocks (4)
Installed on SCX24 C10
Likes:
-Lifts the truck to get tires away from hitting the body.
-Lots of springs to customize the ride height.
-No Fake reservoir to get in the way. I mounted mine upside down and added grease for dampening.

Dis-likes:
-No friction seal in the bottom of shock body. I have the shorter Hot Racing shocks and the seal in the body helps dampen the shock and hold grease in the body. My long travel shocks had no seal. Another reason I mounted them upside down.
-Very Bouncy. With no friction seal they are really bouncy.

Hot Racing Axial SCX24 Aluminum Threaded Long Travel Shocks (4)
When I first got these I rated them high. But after owning and using them for a few months, they are terrible. They have very little movement and when one wheel is higher than the one on the opposite side locks up and does not move. The only good thing about these is they look good and raise up the truck. Overall just stick with the stock ones and save your money.

Hot Racing Axial SCX24 Aluminum Threaded Long Travel Shocks (4)
I had looked forward to getting these shocks for a while, finally got them and was sorely disappointed. Put the silicone shock oil in them as soon as I took them out of the package and the oil leaked from the shocks right out of the package, they constantly bind and keep the axles from flexing while crawling, had to use a thread chaser on one of the shocks as the threads were bent, and one shock unscrewed from the bottom base and came apart while it was sitting still. It's unfortunate because I have other Hot Racing products I love, but they can't seem to build a good shock.

Hot Racing Axial SCX24 Aluminum Threaded Long Travel Shocks (4)
These shocks are nice quality but horrible in every other aspect, I haven’t even drove the truck with them on yet and 2 shocks have already popped off because the O ring slid off. All I did was set it down and was messing with it to see the flex it had and 2 of them popped off now they keep falling apart. Good shocks, bad design.

Hot Racing Axial SCX24 Aluminum Threaded Long Travel Shocks (4)
So I bought these for a upgrade and it’s not hard to say that if you buy these but a longer drive train. These shocks are hard and good for climbing but slow your truck down because of how tall it makes it overall 6/10
