This is an optional Hot Racing Low CG Transmission Gear Box for the Axial AX10, SCX10 and SCX10 II, as well as any other chassis that uses the standard Axial 3-gear transmission.
Features:
- CNC machined 6061 aluminum case
- Hardened steel gears
- Full ball bearing
- High gear reduction
- 11.4:1 internal gear reduction (in addition to the pinion/ 52T spur reduction)
- Supports 9T to 30T 48 pitch pinion gears
- Optional dig unit available (Hot Racing HRASCP38L01)
Includes:
- (1) low CG transmission
- (4) M3x8mm flat head cap screw
- (2) M3x8mm button head cap screw

Comments:
- A 12T, 48P pinion will produce a 49.5:1 final drive ratio

- Bearings are: 2x 10x15x4mm, 1x 4x10x4mm, 3x 5x10x4mm
Requires:
- Trimming of the rear axle should be expected
- Due to the large array of vehicle variants, additional axle trimming may be required
- Recommended to use black grease gear lubricant on gear train

This transmission does not fit the SCX10 skid plate. it can fit the SMT10 skid plate though.

Hot Racing Low CG Transmission Gear Box (Axial 3-Gear)
I used this transmission along with a short outrunner motor and bowhouse skid on my scx10.2 project. Came out very nice! I took the transmission apart and inspected it before installation. Everything looked good, it had some high quality grease already. No complaints from me.

Hot Racing Low CG Transmission Gear Box (Axial 3-Gear)
I ordered this gear box recently and one set of the internal gears are grinding against each other, causing a loud whine when they spin. I can't even find a replacement gear set online... Very disappointed.
