The adjustable clamping preload nut allows you to set the tension on the spring, and lock down the adjuster with a screw to prevent the preload nut from coming loose.

Hot Racing Axial RBX10 Ryft Aluminum Adjustable Clamping Nut Servo Saver (25T)
There's slop between the main silver shaft and the black alluminum piece. Tried to loc tite it but the thing just has too much play. Even caused a crash and messed up new body. Might work if you could TIG weld the sloppy joint.
